Uncomfortable reading but I'll bet it makes Hamster Face moist.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... park-hotel
Now it is in the hands of Suella Braverman. However hard the home secretary huffs and puffs about cutting hotel bills for asylum seekers, she is now one of the biggest hoteliers in Britain. To house a huge backlog manufactured by the Tories, Braverman has just shy of 400 hotels, creating a chain more than twice the size of the Hilton group in the UK.
A couple of hundred miles away in Westminster, “culture wars” is just another electoral sport, to be indulged for a couple of points in the polls or a mention in the papers. But in south Wales or Dunstable or Knowsley, you see what’s really at stake, where the mainstream and extremist right effectively collaborate in poisoning the very soil of a place so that supposedly subterranean prejudice voiced after last orders has become chest-out, finger-jabbing racism.

I wonder if, even deep down, she realises that whatever she does she will never be racist or white enough for them?

There have been some suggestions that Braverman might be given the push in the next reshuffle but I can't imagine their are many people in the cabinet keen to take her job at the moment. I suppose Sunak could always bring back Shapps to the role given that he is rather better at communicating than Braverman.

Shapps will organise the party's landlords and AirB&Bers to benefit from the crisis.

Maybe somebody will put 2 and 2 together and re-purpose all that redundant commercial property.

She won’t, because she’s both very ignorant and titanically egotistical. She thinks she’s special, but is too stupid to realise she’s merely useful. And that’s a very specific, narrow meaning of useful - almost always followed by the word ‘idiot’.

"Titanic" and "egotistical" in the same Suella sense. I like that.

I'm really struggling to think of a single success that Braverman has had while serving as Home Secretary. All her initiatives on stopping the small boats have failed miserably, every week that passes their is yet another scandal in one police force or another. She also seems to have got into constant spats both with the PM an other parts of her department. If Sunak fails to move her it will be a real sign of weakness on his part.

Braverman’s biggest success as Home Secretary is not being able to start a war as Foreign Secretary.

Highly likely Braverman will be the next LOTO. She’ll make Ian Duncan Smith look like a titan.

"Bring it", I say. She'll make them completely unelectable.

I hope.

Indeed. Suella may well be the Tory Jeremy Corbyn.

Well, we've seen this before: "we didn't get elected because we weren't [whatever] enough".

If they're foolish enough to go down that path, let them. However... there may be cheerleaders in the media for that approach and will whip up support for it.

The cynic in me says the Home Office isn't doing this shit by accident

Vulnerable children who arrive in Britain by small boat are being placed in an adult prison that holds significant numbers of sex offenders.

A growing number of cases have been identified where unaccompanied children, many of whom appear to be trafficked, have been sent to HMP Elmley, Kent, and placed among foreign adult prisoners.

According to the most recent inspection of Elmley, the block where foreign nationals are held also houses sex offenders....

Just another day in Torycuntworld.

Did I mention that I fucking hate them?

Everybody's least favourite psychopath strikes again.

Suella Braverman: Home Secretary orders review into police impartiality

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-66693802
The home secretary has launched a review into police impartiality as she accused officers of "being involved in political matters".

Suella Braverman has instructed an investigation into what she calls an "unacceptable rise" in police taking a side on controversial issues.

She cited officers taking the knee or dancing with protesters at parades.

Labour criticised the home secretary for commissioning a report "into her own political obsession".

Ms Braverman wants the reports findings by March, the Home Office said.

Her move is a straight-out confession that her party has politicised culture war issues.

I remember a time when it was described as community policing, and regarded as a style to aspire to.

Oh, I dunno. Politically-motivated police activities have been a bugbear of mine for decades.
