Musk might be the richest man in the world but he's still only one Presidential edict from his entire empire imploding. If Trump banned Twitter or put a 100% tariff on electric vehicles that $500 million would soon shrink.

This is what I don’t quite get. Musk isn’t like Bezos or Cuban - his wealth is quite precarious because there is no solid product behind it and no company is going to voluntarily take him on as a ceo now. Twitter makes no money. Tesla is not actually his, and is one cybertruck lawsuit away from shareholders suddenly going cold on him. Space X cut corners, and could easily lose astronauts or simply be overtaken by a competitor and rapidly become unviable.
As soon as Trump finds a less annoying cash cow, he’d be out. Or as soon as his wealth dissipates, he’d be out. And he’s not Murdoch - if his heart explodes from the high BP caused by ketamine abuse, he has no heirs.
Trump 2.0 is built on Musk’s house of cards.

12 kids apparently and has a natalist obsession about depopulation especially among white people. Musk's equally vile father has a few kids from shagging his step daughter.

He's got (per Forbes) 12% of Tesla stock, and half of that is pledged as collateral on loans. Even if they all go bad, he's still incredibly rich, with enormous power through Twitter (for now at least). That'll be more than enough to keep doing what he's doing now on politics. CBS reported that he spent $277m backing Trump in this election.

Lots of kids, but no Mini-Musk groomed up to take Daddy’s place.
