Are we likely to see the return of "streaming Peppa Pig made us penniless" headlines though?
Yep, as night follows Dave, Bazza, and Chantelle.

To a degree, we are all guilty of data incontinence these days and it can be really expensive, even without trying too hard, as I found out when I dopily left my phone on on a flight to the far east.
You should have seen my phone bill when I got back from Rio...

It's a handy source of sadface column inches for the likes of the Mail.
More importantly it's a huge revenue stream for Tory donors...

I noticed O2 had kept their European package in place. One less worry currently, I would assume phone companies may have held until some of the flying costs came down. Because to me it would be yet another cost on top of at least 1 pointless test. (Not going particularly argue with the one there and back, though of course if we had been in the EU all we would need is the EU Vaccine certificate).

I knew someone who required a minimum of 50gb of data per month because they were trying to mine Bitcoin on their phone

I feel like this is a perfect encapsulation of modern idiocy.

And so it continues...
The UK is expected to drop out of the list of Germany's top 10 trading partners by the end of this year, official German statistics suggest.

Germans spent £13.8bn, or nearly 11%, less on British goods in the first six months of 2021, according to data from the Federal Statistics Office.

The UK has been in Germany's top 10 trading partners since 1950.

But with Brexit-related hurdles taking a toll, it looks set to drop to the 11th spot by the end of 2021...

Who'd have thought that leaving the EU would result in EU countries trading less with us?

I'd say that going by the content, the typical newspaper reader is a cross between an 80+ moaning git convinced that everyone else is a bastard, and a 13 year old boy who's just discovered beer and tits.

I never even noticed that the wee crown mark wasn't on a pint glass any more.

In fact, I'm instantly skeptical that it was ever taken off because of dem faceless EU bureaucrats. Was it, in fact ?

Well, I'm being taken to a pub for a fancy meal by my brother tomorrow: I'll let you know.

Are you writing an updated version of "My Favourite Things" for a re-make of "The Sound Of Music"?
Spoiler, in this version, the nuns ARE the Nazis.

Can't wait for the next revelation:
* Back to proper British shoe sizes?
* We'll be able to drive on the right again? - just like Henry Ford intended.
* Restoring gardeners access to nerve-agents for pest control.
* The ban on powdered egg to be lifted.
* Camp coffee back in the shops - the proper stuff with submissive natives on the label.
* Ant and Dec presenting the Black and White minstrels.

They never went away
* We'll be able to drive on the right again? - just like Henry Ford intended.
Don't say that, having RHD cars means if we drive abroad that traffic police instantly know we're British, thus negating the need for stupid GB/UK badges
* Restoring gardeners access to nerve-agents for pest control.
Serious note - what would that be?
* The ban on powdered egg to be lifted.
Was it ever?
* Camp coffee back in the shops
Never went away, sold as flavouring for cakes though.

- but that did, the woke bastards.
* Ant and Dec presenting the Black and White minstrels.
Good wholesome family entertainment, not this woke crap we have to endure...
