We saw it with Johnson too. Stuff that would usually get people demanding heads on spikes (grift, affairs etc) was met with "Well, wouldn't you? Natural to help yourself to a few goodies, besides I'd not kick her out of bed etc".

Trumpian powers of deflection require a fertile soil. The US has a nice fecund strip of earth, between Evangelical Town and Nowheresville. Both a long, long, long way from the oceans, Washington DC, etc. Plus a seemingly astonishing capacity for credulity.

The main differences they come up with is of course too much immigration in first place followed by opposing Johnson's measures to mitigate the climate change 'hoax.'
The rest is mainly pointing at stuff and shouting woke.

He's called for nationalization of Thames Water. There's no way he believes this is the right thing to do. But then again, Starmer doesn't believe that the Tories ran an experiment in open borders, so I suppose you can't blame him.
