40 years into my working life and I've been around a bit - manufacturing, local government, higher education, utilities, and now, my second and final stretch in the NHS. Add all the complexities of all of the former together and they might just match the complexity of a large NHS Foundation Trust covering acute and community services. Throw in a wholly owned subsidiary created from the reforms in 2012 trying to work alongside the Trust and what you have is an organisational behemoth. Reading the pathetic ramblings on the NHS from every arsehole right-wing hack and the fuckwit comments underneath about what needs to happen (bring back matrons, get rid of diversity managers, sack everyone, make the foreigners pay etc) brings a weary smile to my face. 'Clueless' doesn't do them justice.

Littlejohn's article on the latest attempt to take out Trump has an interesting title.

With both sides stoking hatred, is it any wonder lunatics are trying to eliminate political leaders?

A man who makes a living out of stoking up hatred seems to be confirming that such behaviour can lead to physical attacks or even murder.

This is his woeful both sides pitch
The Democrats and the Left-wing mainstream media have been fuelling the hatred against Trump for years, claiming that re-electing him would destroy democracy in America, even though the anointing of Harris unopposed is a genuine threat to that country’s traditional electoral democracy.

In which "traditional electoral democracy" means "Crackers only".

Harris was indeed unopposed as Democrat candidate, but if we're going to "both sides" this shit, so was fucking Trump. The Republican primaries were a fucking farce, and everyone knew the result.

As for spreading the blame, well, Littlejohn certainly knows how to pitch it (my emphases):
Biden weaponised the criminal justice system against Trump, whom the Democrats now label a ‘convicted felon’ following the former President’s preposterous, politically motivated prosecution by a partisan New York district attorney over alleged pay-offs to publicity-seeking porn star Stormy Daniels. This is a key line of attack currently being used by Harris.

Equally outrageous was the military style raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida, two years ago in search of classified documents allegedly taken when he was evicted from the White House.

The Democrats and the Left-wing mainstream media have been fuelling the hatred against Trump for years, claiming that re-electing him would destroy democracy in America, even though the anointing of Harris unopposed is a genuine threat to that country’s traditional electoral democracy.

Neither side has clean hands when it comes to stoking division. Trump stood back as his more deranged supporters invaded the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, to try to stop Congress endorsing the result of the election. Some of his wilder rhetoric on the campaign trail has been inflammatory, to say the least.
See the pattern? Biden, Harris etc actively do things. They mobilise the state, pursue Trump through the courts, while Trump cannot be held responsible for the actions of a few crazies.

Utter cunt supports utter cunt.

I know I shouldn't be shocked anymore but I genuinely am that not only the crazies, but supposedly 'sensible' (!!!!) writers like Littlejohn and co continue to equate the following two things:

1) A Democratic candidate is rapidly pushed to be the nominee for President in a short-cut process that essentially skips the performativity of democrat selection given more radical candidates will NEVER make it to the nomination; this is in response to an urgent need and has been received, broadly, extremely well in the Democrat party. It is not anywhere near as democratic as it should be, but nor is it

2) A losing candidate stokes a riot that has had every story under the sun told about it, all contradictory, all self-serving, seeking to overthrow a democratic vote in favour of the loser of a FEDERAL ELECTION. People died, people were in fear for their lives, the democratic process was directly, violently assaulted, and Trump wanted it, because he is a cowardly, lying, mendacious, greedy shit. Plus, endless spurious legal claims, fake electors, begging states to 'find' votes. The entire election was assaulted by people who want to do away with things like party nomination processes ENTIRELY.

Yeah, just the same. Cunt.

traditional electoral democracy
Lovely little phrase. Not actual electoral democracy, but an idea of it. An understanding of it. What democracy ought to be and was when I were a kid and drinking from a hose.

Which previous PMs has this been a problem for? None of them.

This is all they've got and already the media is resorting to just making stuff up like Starmer wants to close pubs early.
Thatcher went to the cup final and she hated football.

Short pieces on the Grand Old Days of Fleet Street (getting pissed with someone more talented) and on Starmer's flute-playing days, purely to make a shit joke comparing him to Ian Anderson. But the main course is an old favourite - people in public services being lazy slackers, and mental health is a big con.
No, the fast-track to the good life in 2024 is Mental Elf. Never mind phoning a friend, just ring a spiv lawyer who advertises on daytime television, rustle up a specialist in 'anxiety disorders' and Bob's your mother's brother, especially if you work in the public sector.

A diagnosis of 'mental health issues' and a finding of discrimination will have money falling from the sky. You'll never have to work again.
The case he brings up is of an officer who worked in child protection and who has clearly experienced some awful things. Even Littlejohn acknowledges this, although he rather undermines that by referring to the unit as the "Nonce squad". She - did I mention the officer was a woman? - managed a business on the side, and it sounds pretty low stress stuff.
You might wonder where an officer with such a demanding front-line role, suffering from a debilitating mental illness, found time to run a business on the side.

Mind you, Bob Quick, the former head of the Met's anti-terror squad, managed to run a wedding limo firm with his missus at a time when he was in charge of combating Islamist suicide bombers. So nothing surprises me these days when it comes to the Old Bill.
Mental illness comes in all manner of varieties. As do businesses. Mind you, she's a Dopey Bird, so can't be expected to do tough stuff.
And, incredibly, she won. Not just £27,000 for loss of past earnings, but more than £600,000 for future lost earnings, including pension, and another 500 grand to allow her to receive a sum which broadly reflects what she would have earned after tax.

Who will be picking up the bill? Correct. The mug British taxpayer. Just as we had to fork out a staggering £4.68 million to a council chief for 'disability discrimination' over the trauma she suffered dealing with Grenfell Tower fire victims. Not being there, or losing a relative, or her home. Just the stress of counselling survivors.

As for the £1,168,561 awarded to ex-Sergeant Hibbert, I don't know whether to file it under You Couldn't Make It Up, Nice Work If You Can Get It, or Mind How You Go. I'm getting stressed just writing this.
Legal fees. Punitive damages. Maybe the way for organisations to avoid this sort of thing is to junk the "just get over it" culture and stop acting like dicks.

Things getting spicy in Vero Beach as Hurricane Milton closes in.
Due to the impending impact of Hurricane Milton, City of Vero Beach Solid Waste service will be suspended Wednesday October 9 and Thursday October 10.
I'll wager a pound to a pinch of shit that it doesn't serve as a light bulb moment regarding man-made climate change and net-zero policies.

Littlejohn and every climate change denying troll will already have their instant response ready to roll: "biggest hurricane in 100 years yet there was no climate change in 1924. Therefore man made climate change is a lefty hoax".

He's had a break and come back refreshed. Boilerplate whinge about migration, smaller bits about greens, taxes, metric measurements, sucking Clarkson's cock etc. But mostly migration.
In the US, some on the Right call it the great 'replacement' theory, supplanting the native population with newcomers who have no cultural or historical ties to the country. Under Biden, more than seven million illegals from all over the world have entered America over the Southern border.
Supplanting the native population? Bit late for that.
Migration is now the biggest political issue, which can no longer be brushed under the mat.

A debate which dared not speak its name until recently is breaking out into the daylight. Those voices will not be silenced.
