I can’t help but contrast it with this segment from a few years ago, when Akala was invited on to talk about knife crime in London. He’s given space to lay out his argument at a decent length and treated with a measure of respect despite not being someone who the professional political and media classes would necessarily read as ‘one of us’. Update on this, they are apparently calling for 39 co-ordinated arson attacks and the murder of random people of colour and government ministers. Are we allowed to call this terrorism yet?
