Have they checked on their elderly neighbours to see if they’re ok and need a hand? Bob Jenrick’s constituents.
A PENSIONER'S garden has become so overgrown six-foot weeds are climbing over the fence into their neighbour's back yard.

Mandy Evans, 59, and friend Fredrick Western, 71, have slammed their council after the unruly plot in Newark, Notts, was abandoned to grow out of control.

The neighbouring home belongs to a couple in their 80s who appear to have left their backyard go as weeds cover most of the section that also homes a tired looking shack.

Not valid without a photo of offending weeds, their garden doesn’t look exactly Chelsea Flower Show standard And what exactly is meant by “friend”? Looks very chummy to me

A weird language that is not quite English : “How’s your garden?” “Okay, but it homes a tired looking shack” said nobody, ever.

It occurs to me that there's an actual issue here, that whatever is going on with the neighbour, they most likely are in need of help. Maybe more.

It just says a lot about the country today (or more likely the Mail looking for their preferred spin on the story) that they go with the "but what about me?" angle.

We've been banned from parking on our driveways - the council said we'd be breaking the law... it's a joke

Great bit of sad facing but Mail readers seem to be showing little sympathy. The consensus seems to be pay up you tight arsed bastard.

Holy cow! Retired vicar, 79, complains he is 'knackered' after living beside a dairy farm for eight years

or to put it another way

Man moves next door to farm, is outraged to discover that farms can be noisy (Part 94)

Retired, but happy to put on the gear when the local paper sends their snapper round. At first glance it looks like he is wearing a cross but on closer inspection it looks like something from Argos's Mr T Collection.

Leviticus 19:18 - thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself (unless thy neighbours are a bit noisy, or smelly, or otherwise incur thine wrath)

I like how they've smudged out the farm shop's number (and I'm sure they wouldn't mind a bit of free advertising), while leaving in the number for the local garage.
