I actually woke up thinking about this. You get "pinged" because you have potentially been exposed to the now rampant virus. In the Commons today Mark Harper, the former Government chief whip and leader of the Covid Recovery Group of Tory MPs, compared Mr Johnson to King Charles I, whose tenure on the throne ended when England plunged into a civil war.

Worried the use of vaccine passports could be extended, Mr Harper warned he feared MPs could be forced to show proof of vaccination before entering parliament.
