Those crazed looney left Lib Dems. How to reorganise production to create a four day weeks has been a topic of conversation since the 80s. Lefty shirkers at the council appear to be latecomers.
Lib Dem run South Cambridgeshire Council, backed by Labour run Cambridge City Council, is wanting to move to five days pay for four days work.

This Socialist madness is obviously catching on as the PCS Union is now calling for the same for their civil service members.

And it’s also been shown in study after study to increase quality of work, job satisfaction and so on.

Oh man.

1) Bridget Philipson didn't have the Education brief in 2019.
2) Even if she did, abolishing an organisation doesn't mean you can't take advice from the person who headed it. The policy wasn't "David Bell should be shut down"
3) I think the benefit of universal free breakfasts may be overrated (what else could that money do?) But universals are by no means unknown under this government. Especially for pensioners.
4) What's an "affluent" parent anyway? One not eligible for free school meals?

I am 62 years old and I have never had to work in a job that I don't like. It is a blessing, I know, and I am happy to crack in a full week's work, just so long as it is up to me to start when I like.

The Kreuzette, on the other hand, likes her work (some touchy-feely bollocks in Human Remains) but gets grumpy if she has to do more than four days. Therefore, she puts in an extra hour each day and has a 32-hour contract instead of the standard 40. She's happy, the company is happy, the expensive coffee shops where she hooks up with her mates are happy, the herb garden is almost all set for the coming season - it's not difficult.
