I suspect it’s to do with target. Implying Starmer is a terrorist sympathiser is dreadful and the very weakest and cheapest of shots, but Starmer is opposition leader and so - in a sense - signed up for his opposing number to attempt to get mud slinging to stick. The mother of a murdered child hearing the PM openly use the same sort of snide dig that her daughter would have faced while she is in the room is something else again.

Even fucking Johnson would have had the sense to avoid the topic when the person is literally *right there*, and he was utterly shameless. Sunak’s tactlessness is matched only by his stupidity. Someone has advised him that being a complete shit is ‘strong leadership’. And because he’s the polar opposite a strong leader he’s taken that to heart. Or at least taken it to the black void where a heart should be.

What I said before. Yet another indicator of just how shittily inept a politician Sunak is.
Starmer was rightly furious that Sunak had apparently simply forgotten that the bereaved mother of a murdered trans kid was present in the chamber and lazily trotted out the lame old jibe that Starmer “doesn’t know what a woman is “ regardless. He does not. Have. a. Fucking. Clue.

Satan on a spacehopper, he is SO shite.

A party political broadcast for the ages tonight. Where to even start? Sunak was outshone by a flipchart and I am sure Xitter will have a field day over his spelling of "mortages"

In the past Cameron and Johnson tried to act like they were one of the lads by frequently being photographed with a pint of beer in their hands, Sunak can't go down that route because he is teetotal so instead he is trying to portray himself as edgy by indulging in silly culture wars.

While the culture war stuff might play out well in countries like America where there are only two political parties I'm not sure that it will be quite as affective in Britain where the Tories are out flanked on the right by the Reform Party. The Reform party can be more extreme on the culture wars front because they have zero chance of forming the next government.

He's odd. His manner and general tone in interviews never changes from borderline chirpy regardless of subject gravitas. He approaches every question as if he's just been asked how he thinks England will get on in a World Cup game. He's like the kid at primary school who, if you informed him a classmate's grandad had died, for example, would respond "does anyone want to play tick?!" If he was a copper he'd never be allowed to inform a family their loved one had died. He met the fathers of three young female suicide victims this week. They do lots of charity walks to raise awareness. I cringe just thinking of what his side of the conversation must have been like.

I thought it was telling yesterday, when Elliott Coulborn made his statement about attempting to end his own life that it was Keir Starmer who approached him, put his hands on his shoulders and spoke encouragingly to him, whilst the lisping dwarf scuttled out of the chamber as fast as his little badly-clad legs could scurry him.

Man's a cunt. Even to his own.

I'll go further - every action now shows him to be a man of no empathy or emotional intelligence. He is a constructed narcissist (or spoiled brat in old money) - a pampered child (see his mother's comments about his genuine accent) who could do no wrong, who has failed upwards in every job he has attempted and has so little humanity that even amongst a bunch of cunts that includes George Smith, Liz Truss and Jonathan Gullis he stands out as a meta-cunt, an uber-shitstain, a three ply arse winnet. A Tory...

The Bullingdon gang persuaded a reluctant Jo Johnson to stand as an MP as he’d written for the financial press and was one of the few in the circle who understood numbers and economics stuff. Sunak must have been fast tracked for the same reason but not sure how he was fast tracked. Didn’t he go to the same public school as Osbourne?

Winchester. Ozzy went to St Pauls. To put things into perspective, St Pauls doesn't even bother calling itself a "public" school - it's highly elitist and private and proud of it. Considers Eton a bit common.

Matthew D’Ancona makes a very good point here :

The flipside of Sunak’s smugness is his undeniable ridiculousness. He’s a joke
