Nicked from elsewhere...and its something that's been puzzling me.
Do we assume all 100k were granted asylum, because I haven't heard any boasting about flights to Rwanda
I noticed in PMQ this week that RS proudly claimed that they had processed over 100k asylum claims and had closed 50 hotels that were used to accommodate asylum seekers. If that is the case shouldn’t the daily hotel bill be a fraction of the £8 million per day that was the last figure I saw quoted? Also it would be interesting to know how many of the 100k were granted asylum and what happened to those who were denied.
