I think were back with chanelling again.
When you're a "My team, right or wrong; ultra" you assume that everybody else is playing the same zero sum game.
It's a thoroughly irrational position, but many go down that rabbithole.

Once you're crossed that Rubicon, then "taking one of theirs down, no matter who gets hurt" seems a ratonal stratgy.

A layman might be confused by a situation whereby not very nice people march to pledge their allegiance to a country that, on the whole, doesn't want them. A layman probably shouldn't be Home Secretary although, as you say, her outpourings lately have tended to be aimed at the sort of bar-room philosophers whose world views doubtless include tow the bloody lot out and sink them.

Does anyone here reckon scenes akin to an eleventh night bonfire, replete with Israeli flags and effigies, were to occur next week, the march would go ahead, or any future march of similar intent?

How about if a few lads rocked up round midnight, and fired off a few rounds?

Maybe ban the London march gets banned, and the supporters kill a few kids in protest, but ones everywhere else would get to go ahead?

Braverman's comparison is fucking stupid, but the idea that somehow it's the marchers of Northern Ireland that are insulted by it is absolute bollocks

Some of those lads marching for Palestine will be Pathans.

I used to teach a class of Pathans. I wouldn't mess with them...

Assuming she’s not out of a job by Monday anyway, I reckon literally *anything* happening at the weekend will see her push for some new law that lets the HS directly decide on whether any march over a certain size can take place rather than the local police. Plus I’m sure a raft of anti-protest laws that may as well say ‘no poofs, no forrins, no hippies’.

And once again, I remain bewildered that - even for someone as stupid as Braverman - she cannot see that the endgame of the abhorrent people and groups she’s so desperate to appeal to would be to remove her from office and deport her. Or more likely, some fate much worse. Tommy Robinson doesn’t want to be her mate even as she eggs him and his goons on. Tommy Robinson wants her to cover for him until a dark time when he can pop round her house with a length of rope and make an example of her.

Oh they'd whinge plenty about it, as such/rules don't apply to "them".

Man's a cunt.

Whenever the far right get into power it's always in part by making useful idiots think it's not them they're after, it's the wrong 'uns. It's no different to scab unions or the SA - you're alright, it's the others, then when you're no longer any use you can get over there with the others.

Tories don't march to protest.
They write editorials or complain during their television shows.
