On this note, and taking some of her recent tweets into account, it genuinely baffles me that Sayeeda Warsi is still a memember of the Conservative Party. She’s been complaining about Islamophobia for even longer and both the party itself and the EHRC have made it very clear that they couldn’t give a solitary toss. I can’t imagine she’d lose anything significant by walking.

One of my colleagues at work commented upon this the other day and said I must be pissed off about it. I just shrugged my shoulders.

I note Zelensky has said much the same thing.

Understandable some conclude there has to someone to stick around to take the party back from the loons.
Rory Stewart gets asked about rejoining the national party (still a Scottish Con member) and he can’t see any point in a party run by the likes of Braverman. He’d be a prisoner like John McCain.

In the First World War every regiment had a 'cadre' - a group of officers, NCOs and soldiers who were held back from combat. In the event of the destruction of the regiment the cadre was to be the nucleus from which the 'new' regiment would be rebuilt.

Well, the Tories are facing the electoral equivalent of the Battle of the Somme, but their generals (or at least Generalissimo Johnson) shot the cadre in 2016...

Sunak/ Hunt deserve a bit of credit for initially taxing their base more to close the fiscal gap. Obviously, the party hate that, and Sunak's now all but promised tax cuts even though the OBR could be about to make that very difficult. I wonder if they're going to think, fuck it, do a Truss, except with fewer spending commitments.

David Brent popping back to the office. Hope Sky News finds this newsworthy if only to ask the question as to what this daft twat is doing there? Probably didn’t sign any copies of his little known novel Seventy Two Virgins containing crude antisemitic slurs.

The problem being that Reform (or whatever the outside right nut-jobs call themselves this week) consider themselves the cadre.

Sky News has been very honest in its reporting of the various events in London, won't go down well with Sweller...
Placing the blame for the Tommeeh Trubble firmly on her. Stressing how peaceful the pro-Palestine demo has been so far.

I do so want this to pass peacefully: although I suspect Rishi the Invertebrate will do nothing unless his puppeteers tell him to.
