One thing that's obvious is that she's now making her play to become party leader. What's not so obvious is why Sunak approved her speech. Either he agrees with it and wants her to play bad cop in the run-up to the election or he's afraid of upsetting her. Either way, Braverman is now the ideological driving force of the government.

Andrew Boff and David Guake being the Tories in question. Tories have millions of gay voters who only discovered yesterday that the party’s run by spiteful bigots, really? If anything they’ll gain a couple of points at Reform’s expense.
Elton John and Ian McKellen lead backlash over Braverman’s call to crack down on gay asylum seekers. Rocket Man issues rocket for home secretary as senior Tories warn Sunak: ‘Suella has lost us millions of pink votes’

Nice of The Independent to lead on "Labour U Turn" there with all the other shit going on.

I think that's a sensible U-turn, actually. Private schools have lots of ridiculously lavish facilities. What charitable status does is encourage/force them to make these facilities available to the wider society. So it isn't just a freebie, there's a mutual benefit from the arrangement. If you were to take it away, the upshot would be far fewer facilities available to lots of people who at present get good use out of them. Could we build our own facilities instead? Yes, but it'll take time and in the current climate is not going to get a look in with other priorities. Losing these facilties are going to make things like obesity targets harder to meet.

I'm sure there are schools that take the piss with their charitable status, but that's a separate point. The tests are there, and you can make them earn it.

I have come to the conclusion that she is seriously mentally ill: is there any mechanism to remove someone who is psychotic?
I presume you're excluding Rule 303.

And one of those immigrant's daughters, a woman who follows a foreign religion, has recently stated that multi-culturalism doesn't work and is bad for the country.

Well, Miriam Cates will, thankfully, be out of parliament after the election if my friend, the wonderful Marie Tidball has anything to do with it (and she does).

Which leaves the Tories’s future in the hands of either Braverman or Bad Enough.

And hopefully, well away from power for generations.

I haven't, and I don't need to. Buddhism, any sect of, isn't traditionally a part of British culture. A person who claims to be a practitioner of this non-British culture is telling us that multi-culturalism doesn't work and is a Bad Thing. This practitioner of an alien culture has proved herself to not only be as thick as the proverbial pigshit, but to possess the same level of self-awareness as the proverbial pigshit. And this prime example of humanity is trying to position herself to become the next leader of Britain's current Party of government.

PS I am aware that by multi-culturalism Braverman probably means Islam, but that doesn't take away the facts of her being thick and ignorant. It just compounds her crimes against humanity.

Why?

She is a religious fanatic and part of a sect that has long ago parted company with the basic tenets of the Buddhist philosophy. Better not to trivialise it, it is dangerous.

Were they really, I never knew that? Mind, my only contact was they were briefly my niece's favourite band. I found them to be inoffensive but then I don't recall ever hearing them interviewed - let alone airing their political views.

Edit: said niece is now a 43 year old nursing sister, a card carrying Trade Unionist and member of the Labour Party, so the Nazi indoctrination failed.

Well done Sue Ellen, you've got the support you crave.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... tervention

Mark Collett, a former protege of the BNP leader Nick Griffin who now leads the Patriotic Alternative group, was among those to endorse Braverman’s address.

“Suella Braverman has basically admitted multiculturalism has failed and that mass immigration is a threat to the west,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “This is a good thing. Now I know that many nationalists will complain that this is just a pre-election stunt and that it is nothing more than a desperate attempt to win back voters. I don’t know whether that is entirely true. What I do know, is that what she said is a good thing for nationalism.”
Analysis by Hope Not Hate also claimed that Braverman’s speech contained echoes of the “Great Replacement Theory” – the premise that white Americans and Europeans are being actively “replaced” by non-white immigrants. Braverman said that “more than one in five births are to foreign-born mothers”.
Is it wrong for me to wish ill upon this poisonous, hamster-faced creature?
