The teachers among us will be well accustomed to the threshing and purposely disruptive behaviour of a frustrated little brat who isn't getting what he thinks he deserves

I think it's that simple. He even got his daddy to make excuses for him, equivalent of writing a note to get him out of cross-country.

I feel a Tweet about Stanley coming on. Bet you wish you could threaten to jail the brats for contempt of court. Which on principle and legally is where Bozo is heading with a bit of luck.

Whilst we're all looking at squirrels:

Boris Johnson Has Still Not Given his WhatsApps to the Covid Inquiry

Boris Johnson has still not handed over his WhatsApps to the Covid Inquiry, ten days after the High Court deadline compelling their surrender passed.

The High Court had ordered the messages contained on the former Prime Minister’s old phone to be handed over by 4pm on July 10.

However, a spokesperson for the inquiry told Byline Times on Thursday that they had still received “no update” on when Johnson would comply with the order.

They added that they had not been made aware of any plans for an imminent release of the messages.

A Cabinet Office source also suggested on Thursday that Johnson’s phone had still not been accessed by officials.

Johnson has no interest in actually handing it over. That was just a thing to make Rish! look bad. He'll hand it over when he goes and lies down in front of a bulldozer. In a ditch.

The cabinet office (and the actual cabinet and the PM) have no interest in handing it over, because they've a good idea of how in the shit they'd all be. They were almost all in the room (or Whatsapp group) when the shit went down.

The only reason the phone hasn't been hefted into the North Sea attached to a block of concrete is that it would be just too blatant. Right now they're in full naughty schoolboy mode, praying for the teacher to get bored and give up asking.

Sunak knows that by this time tomorrow he's likely to be even deeper in the shit, so he can't afford to piss off the king over the water.

The game is (finally) up: they’re in to Johnson’s phone.

The spokesperson said: “Boris Johnson is pleased that technical experts have now successfully recovered all relevant messages from the device. As repeatedly stated, he will now deliver this material in unredacted form to the inquiry.
I suspect you could hear the teeth-gritting when Johnson said he was ‘pleased’ from space.

Am I wrong to believe that 'relevant' will be doing a lot of heavy lifting?

That doesn't sound promising at all. Wasn't he meant to hand it over in it's entirety and it was up to the investigation to decide what's relevant, not Johnson himself?

It looks like a pretty definitive statement to me.

Large amount of cash for fuck all and a platform to raise his sagging profile so this story could be true.
Why not invite Corbyn as well just to show how far both leaders from GE2019 have sunk.

His undoing* may well come from his desperate desire to be the centre of attention. Many others would quietly disappear into retirement. Old Stanley really should have pulled out early.

*He's not fallen yet, not far or hard enough.
