I have to say that it's easy to forget that not everyone here has a twitter account. As you can't go in as a guest to view threads, it's a bit pointless putting up a tweet which would be all someone without an account would see.

Just like putting up links, a bit of context makes all the difference. Not much, just why it's important, funny, shocking etc.

I must admit, I had that problem with Twitter when I was able to access the so-called conversations.

This whole business of aggressively lobbying for a "history that shows our side in a good light" is another US import.

Over there it's served up with generous portions of "won't somebody think of the children".

The children will be upset if taught history that contains uncomfortable facts.
You will upset them by diminishing their heritage.
So you can't say anything negative about Slavery, the Indian Wars, Segregation, Lynchings, the KKK or Senator McCarthy.
