According to James O'Brien, Farage's account with Coutts was indeed closed because he did not meet the bank's standard requirements on cash and/or assets, However, he was offered an account with Nat West (which it turns out owns Coutts), which he declined -and, of course, lied about it.
By the way, the French mechanic that repaired Farage's Volvo after its wheel fell off a few years back dismissed the notion that the car had been deliberately sabotaged as totally absurd.
If only whoever sabotaged Farage's plane when he survived it crashing had done a better job.
