The Scottish Conservatives have tabled a vote of no confidence in the Circular Economy Minister Lorna Slater.
The party said the Green MSP was "out of her depth" and should lose her job over the failure of the Scottish government's deposit-return recycling scheme.
Ms Slater has dismissed the move as "absurd" and a "shameless political stunt"....

The public administration and constitutional affairs committee, led by the Conservative MP William Wragg, called for new guidance to prevent “personal and political” friends of ministers being installed as non-executive directors of government departments.

About 14,000 people were turned away from polling stations at May’s local elections because they lacked the right ID, with the overall number denied a vote likely to be considerably higher, the official elections watchdog has said.And all to prevent something they've already admitted doesn't happen.
The interim study by the Electoral Commission also warned of “concerning” signs that voters with disabilities, people who are unemployed, or those from particular ethnic groups could be disproportionately affected by the policy.
It also said that 4% of people who did not vote said it was because of voter ID – a tally that could run into hundreds of thousands more...
