A developed country isn't one where poor people have cars, it's one where rich people use public transport.
I think Rickie might qualify as rich.
I don't say he has to use public transport. In every country, not least France where the off-TGV services can be poor, there are many journeys that can't be done time efficiently by public transport. I'd be fine if he'd gone by car from Bournemouth to St Austell via, as Matt says, a couple of local events in Devon or wherever.

I am saying he shouldn't be taking two private flights though.

The Greg Hands story has landed.

On the face of it, Jolyon has rather oversold this. It could be pure corruption, but equally it could have just been left off the VIP Lane list. But it's certainly possible there are more leaked documents being kept back until Hands or whoever are on the record saying something dishonest. Jolyon says much more to come.

We'll see.

Um, improving. At this rate we'll be ahead soon.

Lee Anderson retweeted that ignoring the fact that a fortnight ago the Conservatives were one point better off than they are now, variance of polling has that basically jumping about like a flea.

He hasn’t for some reason retweeted the delta one that also shows 21 points (I assume it’s because Labour jumped 2 points).

Rebellion brewing v Sunak? Admittedly this is one of their biggest loons, even by current standards, but if Bozo jumps in with two feet, who knows?

I thought fixing the protocol (which he voted for) meant improving the flow of goods into NI from GB. Apparently it doesn't mean that, but something about the ECJ.

Backfire Rishi is going to be crushed by an Acme anvil while cutting a rope. I’m not feeling schadenfreude this is grotesque and surprised it hasn’t been challenged in the courts.
Huge numbers of older voters could be disenfranchised at local elections in May after official data has shown that only 505 people aged 75-plus have applied for free voter identification documents in the month since the scheme launched.

Caroline Abrahams, the charity director at Age UK, said the charity was concerned at the implementation of voter ID, and that more than 3 million over-65s had no access to the internet, so could not apply online. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... mPqeZGFr2E
