I can just imagine the frustration of her officials, preparing the likely questions and the prepared lines to answer them and then she just doesn't listen, doesn't understand or simply ignores them.

You could see those questions coming a mile off...

I think that's it.

Limit now is 8 minutes..

Sunak has apparently now limited all interviews with ministers to 8 minutes.

How the actual fuck does he get away with that? What happened to a free press?

He gets away with it because there are enough people in this country who been taught to hate the media more than they hate Tory ministers.

Then they must hate the media and slavishly trust it at the same time.

No, they absolutely don't trust the media, that's the point, they dismiss media stories they don't like as biased.
As for time limits on interviews, my understanding is that Sunak has now banned ministers from going on the Today programme altogether, that's the boycott of the BBC almost complete - I don't remember the last time I saw a minister appear on Newsnight.

That's what I'm getting at. I suppose it's a branch of confirmation bias.

I'm reminded of the time that a fellow canvasser was bawled out for ten minutes because it didn't matter that the hospital involved had confirmed that the photo of a four year old having to sleep on coats on the floor was genuine. Facebook said that it was fake, therefore we were all liars.

Do they believe it though? Or is the claim of political bias simply their go to when they see a story reported in a way which doesn't fit their confirmation bias?

I don't think they have the faintest idea of what left or right-wing ideas might be. Dunning Kruger, much?
