This guy is on the Republican National Committee. The background to this is that the Republicans may lose a special election in Alaska that's been held under Ranked Choice Voting, so they have to make a fuss about it. You need to get in the top 2, which you'd think wouldn't be hard for a Republican in Alaska to do. And one of them did manage that- unfortunately, it was Sarah Palin. The safer Republican came third. People like this guy are afraid that lots of the safer Republican's voters will vote for the Democrat in preference to Palin. I think that's unlikely, but it's possible.
