Lib Dems are now around 1/3 in T&N with the Tories 2s and above. The best you can get on Labour in Wakefield is 1/100 with the Tories anything up to 40/1. I'm no expert but I would imagine that those are unprecedented odds for incumbent and challenger.

There was rumours of this being the case.

That unherd piece sounds familiar it’s how Labour were talked about for most of the last decade, I do wonder are just tired of them now.

Most people can’t be arsed with this us vs them type of tribal attitude and reflecting on the last Labour government which now seems like a golden age to be alive won’t help in the slightest.

My Lib Dem insider friend reports that they’re quietly confident they’ve done it - postal votes are looking strong, and LD exit pollsters have been getting a lot of friendly nods and chats. Tory activists also looking glum despite it still being early in the day.

It's the hope I can't stand.

Apparently, Hurford’s 25-car pile-up into a fully laden silage tanker of a hustings performance is what some of the local Lib Dems think may push them over the line.

If they’d had someone who didn’t come over like she felt affronted to even have to talk to the little people, let alone have the uppity plebs disagree with her, they might have scraped it. So if she was the best option, I dread to think what sort of gurning hams were on the reject pile.

Good news from two habitually Labour voting friends in the Tiverton and Honiton constituency. Both have voted Lib Dem. If this sort of pattern of tactical voting takes hold across the seat, this could be a very nice result.

That’s good. My latest update is that the afternoon get out the vote reception has been less friendly than the morning. I’m hopeful it’s just the miserable sods who’d never vote anything but Tory and the ones who are sick of Johnson would have been out already. But also very few Tory activists out too. So hopefully that core vote will just stay home.

I can't imagine anyone not voting Lib Dem in these circumstances, unless it's the sort of fuckwit who still owes me fifty quid and who would vote Green because "They're all Tories hur hur hur."

Saw that before on twitter “just two Tories but with different names replacing them”

It’s utter garbage, I was going ask them if they knew Simon personally but I just didn’t want to piss on his miserable day even more.

Me neither. Though it'll not just be this sort. There'll be people who vote Labour because they always have done or whatever. Nearly 3,700 votes for Labour in North Shropshire last year. Less likely to be vocal on Twitter than Wolfie Smith twats.
