So, Squealer is actually saying that he’s been wrong to accuse Starmer of attempting to “purge the left” every day since he became leader, and that he has actually been holding off until an excuse came along in the form of an international crisis in Ukraine? Honesty from Squealer? Nah, don’t be daft.

Mind you, somone needs to tell Squealer to make his mind up - either Starmer’s been purging the Trots since day one, or he’s just been waiting for Putin to invade another country and for Young Labour and the Campaign Group Trots to make arses of themselves. Which is it, Squealer ?

Dunno about haddock. I think a hefty swipe with a sledgehammer would be more appropriate for this twat.

A Labour MP is to appear on stage with Nigel Farage at the launch of an anti-net zero campaign for a referendum on policies to tackle climate change, amid anger from party colleagues.

Graham Stringer, a prominent Brexiter who has previously appeared with Farage at pro-leave events and on his GB News show, was billed as appearing alongside the former Brexit party leader as well as Reform UK leader Richard Tice and the broadcaster Julia Hartley-Brewer...

The animals looked from Corbynite to fascist, and from fascist back to Corbynite. Already it was growing difficult to tell them apart.

He's a long standing "eccentric".

Indeed. File him in the same drawer as Kate Hoey. nd Gisela Stuart
Stringer must be the last man standing, the rest of Labour Brexit gang have died (Mitchell, Field), retired (Hopkins) or taken baubles from the Tories ( Mann, Hoey). Good riddance and why not suspend Stringer for sharing a platform with a potential traitor taking Russian money? As if anyone has Stringer’s back.

Couple of Lexiters, Paula Barker and Rachel Hopkins, were elected in 2019, but I think Stringer is the only other one, if you discount John Cryer who never really convinced as a Brexiter.

I think acting v Stringer would be a Streisand. How many questions does Sir Keir get about him?

In the case of Barker, her constituency - or at least, her CLP - was absolutely hardcore pro-Brexit.

I was involved in the compositing of the Brexit motion at annual conference that year, and their two delegates were immovable about where they stood.

She rowed back on support for Brexit at the general election, which I think does her credit. I couldn't care about Tony Benn "signposts" and "weathercocks" really. She would have got lots of attention if she'd noisily stuck with Brexit.

The whips have had a word with Stringer and he's pulled out. Obviously done very efficiently, I thought Stringer wouldn't go quietly. Fair play to him too.

I’m pretty sure Frank Field is still with us, albeit extremely poorly by now.

Ronnie Campbell and David Drew are two other “Labour Leavers” no longer in parliament, although I think the latter had gone cold on Brexit by 2019.

Labour’s Barry Gardiner says P&O have a £146m deficit in their pension fund. Yet their parent company spent £147m sponsoring a golf tournament, he says. He says the company has been treating the government like fools.
Company with pension fund deficit in "Still doing marketing" shock! Not just Baz, in fairness, Labour went for this before when the news broke.

What does this mean? Did he not notice all those energy companies who just went bankrupt? Not obviously something that coincides with easy profits.

If he means oil and gas companies, how does he force the international producers, OPEC etc to make lower profits? I think the Labour policy of raising money from a windfall tax on UK based producers and using that (and other public money to support bills) is the best you can do here.

That's the Corbynite way. State the bleedin' obvious, but offer absolutely no ideas how to achieve it

They're like children. Saying "why don't they do X?" without having even the vaguest clue as to what doing X would entail, or even if X is actually doable.

Then are fules and I diskard them.

A close relative of "shield the vulnerable from Covid and let the rest of us get on with our lives" - which, when that came from former High Court judges and professors made me question just how much good all their book learning did them.

Is Duffield going to be deselected? I can't believe her antics have any kind of support in her local party.

Lots of the stuff written about trans rights is inflammatory bollocks. That's what "take the heat out of" means. Many people will be more supportive when they hear less from the likes of Embery.

I wonder who the Cult will target next once they've eliminated Rosie Duffield?

Jess Philips is an obvious candidate, but Lucy Allan's got to be a contender after this.
