I’d probably lean more to the other, not on the basis of anything concrete but what’s Bailey done that he hadn’t done in the last few weeks. The other poll is pretty much within the last one, kind of makes sense.

Maybe the bus strikes, but I can’t see the Londoners who use the bus voting for Bailey. If I’m honest the hopper fare basically was a vote winner for Khan. His voter base is more likely to be that voter group than those who drive into central London.

I’m going go with Khan getting within 1 or 2% of the 50+ majority, it’s why I didn’t bother with a second candidate this time.

Only reason I can see Khan dropping % is due to count bin face but I would say that’s 1% at most, Brian Rose hasn’t done well mind.

Bailey has a small lead on crime, though if he was close, I reckon Sadiq could have told a few more people about Bailey working for Cameron when the youth clubs and police stations were being closed.

Apparently briefing on both sides that it could be closer than expected, but hard to see these polls are that wrong. Maybe GOTV on the Labour side.

I didn't know there were bus stikes. Are enough people out and about to be affected by them? I agree that bus users are probably not that good for Bailey generally. He's very much focussed on cars and LTNs (for which he mysteriously exempts Grant Shapps from blame).

Hoping it’s just bravado by Labour, they wouldn’t go so public with it.

I think postal votes are confusing this.

Sheen fell from a great height, whereas Lawrence merely stumbled into a different type of mediocrity.

Also, "Lozza" just sinks of a man who picked his own nickname and wants his mates to use it. They don't.

I still maintain that he possibly only ran in London because he knew damn well it's the most multicultural city in the UK, and he'd get panned.

He's had an entire campaign's worth of publicity to run his mouth off about promises that he knew he would never have to keep. Now, he gets more ammo about how he's obviously a victim being repressed by the woke mob, and his position as a talking head with no responsibility legitimised by being a former candidate, rather than just a failed actor, singer and husband who does the round of the right-wing fringe outlets.

Possibly I'm crediting him with too much intelligence, but I'm not so sure.

Update: I came second, but the Tory who was suspended for violent, racist comments won with twice as many votes as mine.

The ward I was running in is usually a three way marginal, and not a priority. The fact that the Tory was suspended was the only reason why people thought I might stand a chance.

It looks to've brought the Tories out rather than put them off, based on the last few years' results.

A pity. But you'll have other chances. One day people won't vote for shits because they supported national self-harm.
