And yet you just know that there's a parallel where people are substituting "Blairite" for "Momentum".

Something that does not seem to afflict the Tories.

No. The "hope for a more just world" refers to Corbyn. Momentalists didn't want to get rid of him. They blame the evil red Tory centrist Blairite fascists for getting rid of the World's Greatest Politician ™, so they are the ones who want vengeance against the (current) Labour Party. Hence urging people to vote for the disgusting Galloway creature in a recent by-election.

The minor inconvenience being the truth that they didn’t want a more just world. They wanted a world where they got to decide what was and wasn’t “just”. Sure, some things might have improved. Some things - for example, the lives of anyone living in a country that Putin has got his beady eyes on, or anyone of a certain religion who isn’t inclined to self-flagellate daily because of the actions of the government of a country they may have no connection with, less so.

The memes I've seen tell a tale of strong and commanding Magic Grandad forcing Starmer to decline said job because it had ties to pro-zionist causes

Wealth tax seems to be the latest- let's have everything we want and get someone else to pay The work for this seems to involve taking an estimate of wealth and plugging a percentage into a calculator- because of course the super rich will just say "fair cop, guv".

It's OK as a supplement to the tax take we already have, and worth considering on that basis, but that's not what Jezzite thinkers are talking about.

Bevan actually did something with his power.

Ironically he probably wouldn’t have thought much of Corbyn from what I’ve read, he was critical of his type back then.

As for Corbyn, he is an MP, what they are really concerned is a general election happening and him losing his cushy job of doing fuck all and pontificating to his worshipping cult.

No guarantee he would win or Labour for that matter but a split vote opens that chance.
