I agree with the greens on one or two points, I don't like wasteful throw away consumerism and I don't like development on green belt land, that , I feel is the cause of a lot of the floods.
But, the green lot I think use a lot of hyperbole and scaremongering, "the world is on fire" "we are all going to die" yeah right.
I am, unapologetic in that I am very sceptical about the whole thing, the climate changes of its own accord, how much is natural?
I am uncomfortable with the fact that it's been turned into a cult and it's becoming increasingly authoritarian, unbelievers are vilified as heretics, it's got the feeling of a new quasi religion to control the masses. Politicians see an opportunity to increase tax, the Tories have jumped on the bandwagon now that they see that money can be made, big business see it as an opportunity to sell costly green alternatives, the rent a gob, must protest about something brigade, have something new to mouth off about, often inconvenencing people going about their jobs, those insulate Britain wankers delayed me in my van on the M56 last week. The issue seems to attract the extremist political fringe, cranks and loons like moths to a flame.
World leaders flying in and using convoys of cars doesn't help, do as I say, not as I do.
Sorry, but I don't conform to the left/liberal groupthink on this issue and I tend to kick against propaganda, also I don't like cults.
