If that pork haystack prick crows about the vaccine rollout success once more, I'm atomising the nearest thing to hand.
Yeah I believe she also said at the same time however this winter will be serious or something, I’m assuming Johnson switched off after the first line.

You would have thought that the fact that Covid reportedly put the life of their leader in peril would result in Conservative members taking things a little bit more seriously, and mask up.

Beginning to get the impression that even if poor old Brenda succumbed to it, Rees-Mogg would simply shrug his shoulders.

The government would love Brenda to pop her clogs, the sooner the better.
It'll distract the public from Brexit and COVID for months.
She's way more popular than Johnson, Tory voters are particularly fond of her, George VII will be far less competition.
The Coronation will be great, Boris will get to give us his Churchill as played by Norman Wisdom and Vera Lynn will be number one again.

Of course he would. He's RC so her Maj ain't a proper Christian innit.

If she did go from the Covid it would put Covid right in the spotlight, and I don't think Johnson and chums really want that.

          Found elsewhere:

"The people who make up this current government were confronted with one of the worst crises we have experienced in living memory. Their instinctive response was not to come together and do what was best for the country, it was not to protect our citizens or our public assets, their very first instinct on realizing the scale of what was happening was to leave all of our established supply chains and major businesses holding their dicks without any information while they set about seeing just how deep into the trough they could shove their snouts before anyone complained.

The number of pretty major errors and scandals that occurred just in the first month or two, that now seem almost completely forgotten, is getting quite alarming. We still have this "tried their best" line to cover a government that sent infected people into vulnerable care homes without testing, that had our nurses dressing in fucking bin bags to cover for the lack of PPE, that scrapped the local authority test & trace right when it might have actually made an impact, that sat back for weeks watching the bodies pile up in Italy and just insisted the whole time there was no cause for concern."

MPs told to wear masks in Parliament amid rising Covid cases

Labour MP Ben Bradshaw tweeted: "You get chucked out of Parliament for not wearing a jacket and tie.

"If you won't wear a mask, a recommended public health measure to protect others, nothing. What an antediluvian Alice in Wonderland this remains."
'ware the SYB on this one.

Clicking on the vaccination uptake maps reveals how low uptake is in some places; Cambridge, for example, has but 57% of its population fully vaccinated. It seems rural areas are more likely to be fully vaccinated.

Some of our major cities though have areas where as little as 35% are fully vaccinated.

I think you do have to take into account some of the areas being more youthful. Next year apparently is a peak in 18 year olds and I was surprised some are still waiting on a second vaccine whilst at University.

Cornwall’s uptake was really ahead at one point but that’s because it was the way population is set out. I do still feel certain groups have a mistrust in it and not surprising considering. They aren’t the ones in these dickhead marches mind.

          Now, this could get messy:

          https://www.theguardian.com/society/202 ... from-april
Covid vaccination is to be made compulsory for the NHS’s 1.45 million staff in England, despite criticism that forcing frontline personnel to get jabbed is heavy-handed and will lead some to quit.

However, the tough new approach will not come into force until April, after Sajid Javid heeded warnings that introducing it soon could lead to an exodus of staff during the winter, the health service’s busiest time of year.

It might. It might not. There's a certain amount of shy/sly vaccination going on. A similar mandate for the NYPD produced much feverish writing that up to 10,000 were prepared to defy the mandate and accept the consequences.

On the morning of, though, the total number with the testicles to match the principles was 34. Thirty. Four. Less than my wee fella's P2 class, and probably just as sensible

Sajid Javid is betting the farm on a new experimental pill that hasn't been through peer review nor have the potential side effects been disclosed but by Gove it jolly well knocks COVID for six!

We can add making the electorate into human guinea pigs onto their extensive list of pandemic mishandlings.
