She might have been fighting with Wendy Morton who didn't vote either.

Though James Duddridge says he voted with the government and isn't shown on the list.

I'd guess the public doesn't care about who controls the timetable, Alex. If there's something bad, they expect it to be put to a vote and ruled out.

Was that a guess?

More comedy. I don't know who the Tory MP asking the question is, but she's seriously unimpressed.

Seems like the Chief Whip and Deputy aren't resigning now

Did she? Did anyone see her?

So the Chief Whip and her deputy didn't resign after all.

So what was Truss screaming about for long enough to miss last night's vote?

Does that include the PM, who's now frantically alleging that she voted?

Further to Samanfur's post and answering the question in this thread's title, it appears Truss forgot to vote in her own confidence vote, thus breaking her own whip. That'll solve the problem of how to get rid of her!

"Tory rebels warned they will be punished over 'confidence vote' in 1.30am U-turn
The 36 MPs who abstained include Boris Johnson, Kwasi Kwarteng, Theresa May and Liz Truss herself"

And to think, there are still those out there who want Kier to rant and rave at every opportunity; this is a clear win for the intelligent, measured approach

Theresa May was paired, Truss is now officially recorded as voting, apparently a card reader problem.

UQ on Braverman.

I’d be happy with that but Starmer’s smarter than I am and 30 points ahead in the polls.
