Definitely not right in the skull.
Be fair, you'd struggle to think clearly if you drank as much as her.
She's about to discover the harsh reality of unsubsidised booze.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... stunt.html

The Labour candidate in the by-election triggered by Nadine Dorries' resignation has taken 'unpaid leave' from his job at the Bank of England amid a row about his role in a Greenpeace stunt.

Alistair Strathern, 33, donned dark clothing and face paint to pose by a mock gravestone during a demonstration against the Public Order Bill outside the Home Office in November.

Mr Strathern, an Oxford University graduate, describes himself on business networking platform LinkedIn as the 'climate lead' for insurance at the Bank of England – leading to calls by Tory MPs for an investigation by Bank Governor Andrew Bailey.

Tory MP Danny Kruger, who is on the Treasury Select Committee, sent a series of questions about Mr Strathern in a letter to Mr Bailey, including whether he was allowed to leave work in the middle of the day to join the stunt.
God forbid that anyone should ever have any opinion about anything.

Let's not ignore the fact that Ricky Shortpants had the opportunity to boot her for some eleven weeks, and has recently ignored the calls from his own party to do so.

Spineless, powerless, and patently unfit for the role.

Anybody else wondering whether it is just a coincidence that Dorries finally actually resigns from parliament quite literally the next day after IPSA announces that the allowances for MPs who stand down or lose their seats are to be doubled ?

It also occurs to me that (GO)Nads says that she held off actually resigning for 3 months because she wanted an explanation of why Johnson's risible nomination of her to the House of Lords was rejected. Now that she seems to have finally resigned, can we ssume that she has been provided with that explanation ? I could have explained the reasons to her 3 months ago if she'd asked me.

Do you remember that we used to have a topic entitled, "Questions to which the answer is no"?

I noticed that some have picked up on that in the Mail BTL.

They have to demonstrate that they are using their time to work on winding up their offices.
She can whistle for her money then. I'm not sure there is anything to wind up and as she hasn't invoiced the Mail or Talk TV for her work, at least according to the register of interests, I assume she will be similarly slack in submitting an invoice to HM Gov.

These people who oppose "participation trophies".

They always whisper the "they're not for other people's children" bit quietly.

News Agents has a more playful tone than the BBC. Jon Sopel’s earned his stripes as a political correspondent and no longer has anything to prove.

My problem with Jon's tweet is it sums up how political journalists increasingly treat politics as entertainment.

The majority commentators on ConservativeHome regard it as a "well written and righteous" critique of Sunak.

It's the first time I've seen "Well written and righteous" used as a synonym for "Cider powered meltdown".

Plus, of course, since she no longer (thank god) held any ministerial post, there was no actual requirement for her to write a letter of resignation to the Prime Minister at all. Resigning back-bench MPs, by and large, just don’t do that . She could, and should, have simply applied formally for the post of Crown Steward and Bailiff of the Chiltern Hundreds and fucked off. That she didn’t even bother to send that ridiculous letter to Sunak is just further evidence that the whole fucking pantomime is just another massive Dorries “look at me” self-serving attention grabbing exercise.

Much as I like the idea of this woman being a pain in the neck to Sunak, it's clear she has her supporters. You just know she'll never shut up.
