I've just watched clips of Braverman's speech in Washington DC, she was addressing a room with about 20 peoples in it. In what capacity was she addressing this think tank? If she was there as a government minister on official business presumably the taxpayer is picking up the tab for her blatant pitch to be the next Tory leader.

I think she would like Rishi to sack her then she can walk away from the utter mess she has created at the Home Office. She could then claim she wanted to be tough on immigrants but the prime minister failed to back her.

She is absolutely talentless. Absolutely. She got by as Attorney General by being perfectly willing to break any law Johnson requested. She gets by as Home Secretary by being callous and sociopathic - easy for her, what with her being a callous sociopath. But all her schemes fail because they’re either shit and unworkable or illegal, or both. As a PM, she’d screw up faster than Truss, with no bonus mourning weeks to pad it out.

There’s absolutely no talent left at the top of the Tory party. Sunak got the role as the last man standing simply by not being quite as openly corrupt as Johnson and not being hopelessly inept like Truss, and has shown himself to be nowhere near good enough - and he was by far the best option. Only an imbecile would want the top job now. Which is why she wants it. Greed with nothing to back it up at all.
