Referendum was called by Cameron to counter threat from Kippers on the right. Remain had to cobble together coalition to counter synchronised bullshit from leave. Vast majority of remainers didn't want referendum, didn't call for one, wished that Cameron didn't think it was necessary.

Cameron was the prick who caused it because he didn't have the balls to expel kipper sympathisers from his party. The rest of us were just the PBI.

Poor old Dom. Applebaum could play his bowling with a stick of rhubarb.

I see Anne A is married to sensible Polish centre right former FS Radosław Sikorski. He was part of the Tory Oxford crowd before deciding his British chums had lost their fucking minds. Appelbaum was a US Republican who came to the same conclusion.

"Sikorski", that's name with quite some resonance in PL and for all the right reasons. It is also the name of the Polish club in Glasgow. It was an honour to meet some of the AK lads there - in their nineties at the time - and they were still as hard as fucking nails.

"Cummings", not so much.

Genius Dom still landing devastating headbutts on David Gauke's right fist. Northern Ireland would have been a small part of negotiations if Dom had been in charge at the start, apparently.

Worth looking at the original exchange. He's now on to "Macron" insisting on checks between Ireland and the Single Market.

It's like a bloke in a cricket club bar telling saying if he'd played in the Ashes he'd have come down the wicket v Shane Warne.

Strong "nobody appreciates my genius" energy from him there. Strong "hate to break it to you but you're talking crap" energy from everyone else.

*No, really, I read the interview.

Yep. Unless we give notice to leave (under Article 50), we're not leaving, so no negotiations.

Never mind, Dom's game theory books says different.

While I'm not advocating bullying, and I'm sure you never would, on a purely utilitarian level the world would be a much better place if he'd had the shit kicked out of him repeatedly.

What's this? We threaten the US with pulling out of 5 Eyes?

News to a few people that Vote Leave didn't make anything of future trade deals. And what are these masterstrokes to be pulled with domestic regulations?

I don't know about that. I could see him having a traditional supervillain origin story that way:

i. Did they laugh at you?

ii. Show them! SHOW THEM ALL!

Do you remember when Vote Leave said "the most important issue here is our science and tech agenda"? Me neither.

Actual scientist is unimpressed.

Former university research librarian here.

Much funding and many projects collapsed on 24/6/16. It was that fast.

Not sure how well this word translates across the Irish Sea, but Cummings is little more than a Grade A slabber. Eventually he'll get his comeuppance and will be too blinded by his own delusions to ever notice it.

He doesn’t sound a very well mentally. His family should tell him to quit while he’s behind.

Its hard to think of a political project farther away from Realpolitik than Brexit. Pol Pot’s Year Zero?
