The Sun's editorial also seems to be backing Johnson and telling Tory MPs to get a grip. The editorial also seems to imply that the BBC are pushing PartyGate even though it was actually The Mirror and ITV who have been leading on the story.

Obviously, it isn’t. But Number 10’s disastrous handling of it has allowed their enemies to make hay.

A demonstration of firm leadership could start by getting those Red Wall Tories making threats to unseat him into No10 and reminding them they’re only in Parliament because of his electoral triumph all of two years ago.

The PM needs to get a grip – but so do some of his MPs.

The Sun doesn't like it when celebs use well paid lawyers to avoid getting a prison sentence which seems a little bit rich given that the CEO of UK News Rebekah Brooks used very highly paid lawyers to avoid prison over her part in the phone hacking scandal.
