The strikes might hurt Labour because strikes are likely to eat up a lot of union funds this means they will have less cash available when it comes to the general elections. Whilst any unions no longer donate to the Labour Party I know that unions like Unison and GMB often spend a lot of money during general election highlighting how Tory cuts have damaged various public services.

This is just getting totally ridiculous now. Do these desperate hacks actually believe what they have to do for these Mickey Mouse channels ?

The unions are prepared to destroy Christmas but their ultimate goal is to subvert democracy, says Dan Wootton

"...subvert democracy..."

In Wooton's mind and those of his fellow travellers, the last legitimate democratic expression in the UK was back in June 2016 and everything since then has been subject to an entrenchment clause concerning Brexit - unless the election gives the result they want (see 2019).

It's a barmy way of looking at things, to put it politely - a more damming way of describing it would be parafascism, if not even worse. Reminds me of some of the 'ra heads over here that regard the last legitimate election in Ireland to have been the UK 1918 General Election (only the bit concerning Ireland, of course). Or the MAGAots in the USA whom declare that any of their candidates not winning an election to have been fraudulently denied whereas in one's they do win they are 110% legit.

I like his idea that Labour must "come clean" about union funding. After all, it's hardly a secret - he's got the numbers already. Shades of "to my satisfaction" about it.

Doesn't 'come clean' refer not to the numbers but to admit that his conspiracy theory about the unions paying Labour to destroy democracy are true?

Falling wages among the British was their big subject of concern in 2016 but not anymore so they do change their minds. When they run out of scapegoats and the mob turns their lonely eyes to them.

Back in the days of IMDB message boards, there was a totally not neo-Nazi at all honest guv German lady who insisted that the legitimate government of Germany was Doenitz's because the partition had been illegal, thus so were the FDR, DDR and reunification.

When asked which of Doenitz's cabinet I should contact about getting the bins emptied, she would just rant about how Germany had been stitched up by the western Allies in 1945.

A bit like the way antisemitism, both of the blatant & dog whistling variety, has increased on both sides of the pond since the usual suspects no longer see Jews as a useful bulwark against violent fundamentalist Islamic terrorists.

See also "we should look after our own first" on issues regarding asylum seekers & foreign aid, when the same don't give a fuck about homeless people that are both white and UK born.

Dare I say it, it's right-wing virtue signalling.

I've never actually seen this Wootton guy speak, I can't bear to click on the link.

But I'm almost tempted to do it if I can here him say this. Reminds me of somebody on Twitter saying some liberal sounding writer didn't want to talk about something. The writer pointed out that apart from writing a book on the subject, he had indeed dodged the issue.

I've noticed that a lot of the papers and news channels who have tried to present him as some kind of hero in the past are now trying to distance themselves from him. The Mail are now referring to him as 'disgraced Andrew Tate etc.' TalkTV have been replay quite a few of Piers Morgan's interviews this week I wonder if they will replay his interview with Tate.

The idea of Tate being "disgraced" is an interesting one. He moved from making a living fighting, and we can generously call that neutral, but since he's been an entirely open and proud pimp and parasite, a manipulator and abuser.

The only "disgrace" to be handed out is for those who looked to pretend he was anything else in the hope some of the scumdust would rub off on them.

I note elsewhere that GBeebies has also now taken on Portillo.

And so the cuddly pastel-clad railway buff/travel presenter mask slips, to reveal once again the venal, nasty, fascist cunt.

Have say, I'm a little surprised and very disappointed. I've warmed to Portillo over the years and I used to enjoy watching him and Diane Abbott on Brillo's late night show.
