We already have a diverse set of topics dominated by culture war.
I've a topic that doesn't easily fit into any (will post soon).

Maybe sensible to discuss whether this topic is surplus to requirements, and content could be accommodated elsewhere.

RNLI volunteers verbally abused while on duty.

What a shithole England is becoming.

When its anarchists and lefties hurling abuse on demos, Johnson has no compunction about pinning the blame on Labour. The party needs to nasty up and fling back that shit. We know who a prick hurling abuse at lifeboat crews votes for and is inspired by.

It's part of the idea that everyone from the Lib Dems to the SWP are all Lefties. They've made it clear that they don't play by the rules and being the nice guys has given us 80seatmajoritydemocraticwillofthepeople.

And by lefty they mean soft. Thoughtful, considerate, sympathetic, coherent, patient, anything that suggests giving a shit about other people - nah. Smash and burn, and if you're soft, if you object, you can fuck off because you're probably a gayer.

When we’re not throwing scaffold polls at City bank offices to bring down capitalism.

Had many attempts to explain to Brexiters the difference between a liberal empirical conclusion and Marxism but to no avail.

Something like that?

That's the post-Thatcher logic - compassion is weakness.

Block yesterday by a very angry ‘foreigners cause low wages’ guy for trying steer the conversation onto labour market regulation and union recognition; If 80K Anglo saxons replace 80K Polish lorry drivers, what other arrows are there in the quiver to arrest wage depression?

‘You’re talking utter bollocks mate, calling the working class racist because they want higher wages.’ Blocked. Think he knew where I was going but his visceral hatred of unions wasn’t far behind foreigners.

Fear. Fear whipped up by the right and their allies in the press.

This is how they frame it. Making jokes on the telly is waging culture war, apparently. Not them waging culture war on people who make jokes on the telly.

I'll be honest and admit that I never really liked the Mash report it always reminded me of this quote from Our Friends in the North "Sticking your tongue out at the Tories "

Yup - I posted a comment that it was an "incel" on Fenton's blog.

The BBC are now wondering if incels are the next terrorist threat. This sort of thinking reminds me of an autistic guy on a forum I participate in who is deeply troubled by any ideas of civil unrest and tries to frame everything by referring to such events as the 2009 financial crisis and the like.

The world must be a deeply troubling place for him right now.

Spectacular snowflakery from Charles Moore. Don't tell me anything I don't want to hear, I'm looking at the pretty gardens.

Most of us would manage to process the garden and where the money came from at the same time.

Did I read that visiting National Trust properties at weekends is more popular than football attendance?

Yesterday's Parliament saw the government benches mostly un-masked.

They're following the republicans in turning masks into a wedge issue.
