The Tories seem to be a bit more bullish regarding their chances in the Tiverton & Honiton contest next week, and think they might hold on to the seat after all. A shame if that turns out to be the case, but the Wakefield by-election was always going to be more indicative within the context of the next GE outcome, whenever that turns out to be.

Gotcha. On the Shipman remark; the point he was trying to make was a reasonable one, but he made an utter Horlicks of it with his serial killer analogy - as if an MP raping underage boys wasn't quite serious enough.

It’s just not the thing you bring up, Shipman was also a Tory, and the analogy was garbled as per usual.
