It's like Fatboy Slim on Brighton Beach.

Though not that surprising seeing the Tories don't seem to be telling anybody about events until they've happened. Their candidate doesn't seem to be allowed to speak. She's an ex-headteacher, so you'd think she'd be able to handle it. Not like the accident prone woman who came third in a two horse race in Eastleigh.

Quite a few people in what look suspiciously like office shirts, I'm guessing party hacks on a day out.

Otherwise, estate agent trick photography. At least they can put their skills to good use.

I thought election candidates were supposed to give the voters reasons for voting for them, not reasons to vote for somebody else

The Conservative candidate for Tiverton and Honiton has revealed she would have backed Boris Johnson in his confidence vote earlier this week had she already been an MP...

Is she preparing to blame Johnson when she doesn't win?

"The Conservative candidate in a make-or-break by-election said the Brexit campaign was “built on lies” and that he regretted voting for it.

Nadeem Ahmed, who is fighting to cling on to the Wakefield seat for Boris Johnson, also warned leaving the EU had triggered an increase in racist attacks and backed a second referendum."

“I voted to leave and I regret the decision. All my friends who voted similarly are the same,” the then-leader of Wakefield Council told a newspaper, shortly after the referendum in 2016.

“The immigration issue has been overplayed and the most identifiable group are being targeted because we have darker skin colour.

Didn’t the lack of white Polish plumbers on Farage’s Breaking point posters provide some clues, you daft twat?

The Tories seem to be a bit more bullish regarding their chances in the Tiverton & Honiton contest next week, and think they might hold on to the seat after all. A shame if that turns out to be the case, but the Wakefield by-election was always going to be more indicative within the context of the next GE outcome, whenever that turns out to be.

Several of them said that we had had three tough years but Boris had pulled us through! I just wonder how bad he would have needed to be for some of his fans to turn against him.
And I don't doubt that every single one of them would call themselves honest, law-abiding and truthful, yet they worship a serial liar, criminal and cheat.

Gotcha. On the Shipman remark; the point he was trying to make was a reasonable one, but he made an utter Horlicks of it with his serial killer analogy - as if an MP raping underage boys wasn't quite serious enough.

I can see his leaflets now, "I've never raped or murdered anybody, vote for me!"

It’s just not the thing you bring up, Shipman was also a Tory, and the analogy was garbled as per usual.
