Even in that BBC article, the legalities mean they say Milk was shot and killed by Dan White. Not murdered.

That's how they'll cope. They'll frame it as a reminder that they can kill who they want and not suffer any consequences for it.

Re the ship naming, imagine if the same thing happened here.

"We had lots of suggestions for the name of the new flagship of the Royal Navy, but in the end we rejected HMS Churchill and HMS Thatcher, along with HMS Captain Tom.

Therefore I name this ship the HMS Markle, and wish it godspeed."

*Sound of Mailite apoplexy*

The School Board of Spotsylvania, Virginia has decided to go one better than Texas and is organising a book burning.

I'll type that again.

Steve Bannon indicted for contempt of congress.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... k-subpoena

Blah, blah executive privilege, subpoena, jargon...
Something being done, but unlikely this white (well blotchy) man will see the inside of the slammer.

But ask yourselves, British subjects; would we expect similar action against Dominic Cummings?

Amber Rudd as Home Secretary just ignored a court, and nothing happened.

Mark Meadows has ignored a sub poena too. Hopefully indictment to follow.

Dominic Cummings ignored several select committee summons too, I think.

IN the vaccine culture war, Senator Ted Cruz has fallen out with Sesame Street's Big Bird.

[ I pause to remind you, this is the same nation that transported men safely to and from the moon ]

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/11/08/poli ... index.html

But who can we trust in this Bird / Cruz spat.
Viewers should ask: which is most likely to bug-out and fly south then the weather turns a bit chilly.

It reminds me of this quote from The Simpsons
So, you want a realistic, down-to-earth show... that's completely off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots?

When Michael Moore did his very good TV shows back in the 90s, he discovered the county with the one of the highest levels of federal aid was where stern low tax Tea Partier Newt Gingrich lived and represented. Moore ambushes Gingrich with the list of federal projects and tries to pin him down as to which he’d cut. None of course.

I find it very strange* that in the QAnon Shaman trial the judge praised what others called a 'half-hour disorganised ramble' of a statement 'worthy of Martin Luther King'.

*I wonder if he is an elected judge?

In the other case the Rittenhausen jury has asked to review some of the prosecution video evidence, because it has been compressed...

Most likely explanation is that his district had lots of retirees, and this was Medicare and Social Security. I can imagine that once air conditioning got decent, retiring to suburban Georgia became quite attractive for lots of people paying through the nose to live in colder states. But of course he was an absolute disgrace in cutting working age federal programmes.
