Holding them to account

As a wash of background colour for younger Mailwatchers, the fashy end of the press - mail and terrorgraph, especially - always did well when Labour were in office. They would incite their readership who would keenly lap it up; ergo, more money from their willing marks.

I fear that this is going to happen again but that it will take us to margins we have not seen before. That incitement will drive the manufactured anger to online platforms where all hell will break loose. Of course, only the consequential actions will be actionable under current law, but this needs to be nipped in the bud before the casual killings start.

Some will have their doubts as to the mettle of the perennially startled Lisa Nandy at DCMS. Personally, I don't. I am pretty confident that she will be able to marshall m'learned troops towards Leveson 2 and a framework for decent, responsible journalism.

An outcome to be most devoutly hoped for.

Here's an early entry. Talks with EU leaders, fuck.

Bozo and Glen Owen are doing the holding to account.

Christ, arch liar and major architect of Tory catastrophe throwing Hayek around ('ooo fancy book learning' when it suits, right?) after DECADES OF EU MEMBERSHIP that curiously didn't result in serfdom.

Learned anything? Not one iota. Nothing.

I have just heard Amol Rajan, a newspaper journalist who has been reading out newspaper headlines since 06:04, telling Hugh Grant and a credulous audience that newspapers no longer hold any sway.

"The final command...", and all that jazz.

Slightly different intent, but the thread title fits the bill, so…

Looks like the Mail may be in for a bumpy ride soon.

Remember that any speculation here might be considered prejudicial and possibly libellous. My preference would be for it not to be true, in that young people would not have had to have gone through being sexually assaulted, but, nevertheless, please let it be *********.

I hope it's not regular Mail contributor ******* because he comes across as such a nice guy.
I'm not protecting anyone's anonymity I just couldn't think of a name.

This was my thoughts exactly. The obvious preference is no crime. But if the crime has happened, I hope whoever did it gets absolutely destroyed and the fallout harms the paper hugely.

We'e assuming it's a male journalist.

Perhaps the mythical Liz Jones has escaped the subterranean Labyrinth beneath Dacre towers.

Is that really the case? No one on here has any intention of making wild, speculative accusations but I think we all hope it's Littlejohn because he's such a despicable cunt.

He isn't in the country long enough.
