The MAGA MILF scooped up 122,000 votes? They're all feckin bonkers over there.

I've just watched the concession and victory speeches.
Bloody hell, I know it's Georgia, but the sky fairy has obviously been doing a lot of heavy lifting according to both candidates. The USA will never move forward until it shakes off that old-style religion..

Looks as through some yahoos in North Carolina have read all that second civil war stuff and kicked off early.
Apologies for the "worse than Mail headline"
Investigators are zeroing in on two possible motives centered around extremist behavior in NC power stations attacks, sources say
Kyrsten Sinema has announced her intention to leave the Democratic Party and sit as an independent for the remainder of her tenure as a US Senator.
Truly mind-boggling to think she ran on a comparatively left-leaning platform back in 2018. At least she had the consideration to wait until Warnock's victory in Georgia was confirmed, I suppose, She was almost certainly going to be primaried in the next couple of years.

A lot of elections is timing. In 2018, Rick Scott was helped a lot in Florida by timing, coming straight from being Florida Governor to run for the Senate seat, and gained the seat by a tiny amount from the Democrat Bill Nelson.
Running for a Senate seat in 2024 might be a bit awkward for a non-incumbent candidate in Arizona. I don't know if they have anyone who's available who has won at State level recently.

The rumoured favourite is Ruben Gallego. Sinema knows fully well that she'd lose in a Democratic primary, so running as an independent is her best for survival.

I think she'd be very lucky to win as an Independent. Arizona GOP just selected Kari Lake and Blake Masters. Not obvious tactical centrists.
Nearest parallel I can think of is Lieberman, who did win, but I don't think she will
It's more the case she's hoping the Democrats won't run a candidate as she'll run and split the vote so that the Republican candidate wins.

Republican says Democrat chucked her US flag in the rubbish. Apart from it not being a bin (you can see it's a removal box for an office move in his own fucking photo), this is absolutely spot on.
