If Le Pen loses its likely to be on a higher proportion of the popular vote that propelled Trump to victory. One theory I read for the high younger vote is that a whole generation don’t know full flavoured fascist Le Pen of old. Sounds implausible but plenty of yoof in this country who believed Jez was an ardent Remainer who won a Nobel prize for bringing about peace in Ireland.

I wish that I hadn't glossed over a reasonably authoritative grab earlier suggesting that Mélonchon's tribe are fairly evenly split between sanity and that fashy lady with the funny beak.

Time is of the petrol, comment on dit.
Some very high Melenchon scores in cities, Ile de France etc. I don't know if that was expected. I'm reasonably hopeful these aren't Le Pen types.

Some of the analysis is pretty poor, seems Macron will poll better this time than last some of the opinion polling is out, seems to have done a bit of Miliband closing the polls in the final week thing when in reality they went in and voted Cameron.

A week or so ago the polls seem pretty accurate though they’ve all underestimated Melchanon and all overestimated Zemmour.

She dropped another pearl of wisdom today.

Bit of an odd one, seeing someone campaign on what an obvious Kremlin stooge they are.
