She's very uncomfortable talking about misogyny and sex based violence, isn't she? Unless the perpetrators are Muslim, of course. Then it's "culture".

Nicked from the Guardian:
Is it just me seeing Portillo morphing to the surface?
Dunno. I'm still behind the fucking sofa.

Well, it's been chucked back in her face.
Farage rejects Badenoch’s suggestion of Tory-Reform coalitions in town halls
Reform UK leader has ‘no intention’ of agreeing to formal pacts after local elections in England on 1 May
Team Farage didn't come into politics to do actual politics. Andrea Jenkyns can grandstand from the Lincolnshire mayoralty, but your average Mr UKIP doesn't want to be negotiating meals on wheels budgets with nobody watching.

Badenoch's big problem at the moment is that she keeps doing these big interviews on national TV but she really hasn't got any new policies to promote. So instead she gets dragged into discussing all manner of issues most of which will not win over many voters. Meanwhile Farage is going around the country and focussing on local issues so he appears to be more relevant than Badenoch.
By avoiding national interviews Farage also doesn't have to defend his good buddy Trump.

She seems to have too much invested in “Net Zero” and her X topic of the day.
I’m not sure many people care about net zero and not as a major issue and her topic of the day has been anything from type of Lunch to TV programmes.
Two things she doesn’t seem to understand, though I assume that list is many.
She seems to pretend she’s uber busy as well, not something I’ve particularly thought the leader of the opposition is unless you start to become PM in waiting and let’s be honest.

According to the Daily Express Starmer should be worried because Badenoch has given up alcohol for lent. I think she will have to do more than just give up drinking if she wants to try and outshine Starmer.

I think the performative religious are a demographic that aren't naturally Labour.

Give up Twitter?
(That reminds me - it's the Office of Compline on Radio 3 tonight.)

Rishi Sunak never drank alcohol. Didn’t help him much.
I see Kemi’s latest audition for editor of The Spectator is to take up the case of a woman who pleaded guilty to inciting racial hatred. Kemi refers to her by her first name, as you would.

So she doesn't even have that as an excuse for her woeful performance.

Before GE2024 it was the first time we've had a PM and LOTO who weren't meat eaters. Don't know if that's in anyway socially significant or just a fun factoid.

Lent ends next week. She's already been without for forty days.

That's quite spectacularly awful by Badenoch. The world's feeblest ever point of order followed by "yeah, well, we didn't actually have a deal but we would have done if it weren't for the snap election we called ourselves".

"Labour can't negotiate" is also quite the line to take when Labour's literally just negotiated something.
