Done. Now I've got to sit here for fifteen minutes. I could've been half way home by then!
I did actually see someone keel over this afternoon during my 15 minute wait - so there is a reason for it.

Something about sitting by rivers and bodies - excellent!

I see that Solihull has now finally got its own walk-in centre, whereas previously local residents were being directed to Birmingham city centre, Edgbaston cricket ground or - in my case - Kenilworth to get their jabs. Now that the allowable gap between jabs has been lowered to three months, I'll probably get my booster sorted at some point in the next couple of weeks or so.

As he was a very loud and obnoxious Brexit fuckwit I really enjoyed replying to one of his rants with"You lost. Get over it."
Result - toys launched from pram into the next canton and multiple reports (according to one of the mods I know) basically "waaaahhhhh the lefty was mean to me."
If it's "English Forum" punkt ch, yeah, I can hear Tony's crying from here!

It hasn't, and I'll be very surprised if you manage to get a booster before six months from your second jab.
I found this out today. The government has announced to the public, but the NHS hasn't received anything official from the Department of Health. My second jab was on the 1st of June and I was told this afternoon that had I turned up yesterday I'd have been turned away as today is the very end of the six months and so the first day I became eligible for a booster.
While the people actually administering the jabs are doing a great job, behind the scenes it's a bloody shambles.

Interesting. I stand corrected, although it sounds like a formal announcement from the NHS is likely very soon.

A grown-up speaks
Tube and other public transport users have been warned to wear a face mask or risk a £200 fine as the battle against the Omicron Covid variant is stepped up.
Mayor Sadiq Khan said enforcement of face covering rules on the Underground, buses and other services run by Transport for London would be increased after they were made compulsory again by the Government from 4am.
Mr Khan said: “Provided with proper enforcement powers, TfL will now be able to work with policing partners and really boost compliance on the network, with the selfish few who refuse to wear a face covering facing a penalty fine.”

But in all of this - who's going to do the enforcing?

9.00 this morning I got an email from Libraries Connected (the professional public libraries network) with the government advice on public buildings and masks etc. 10.00, and Cumbria Council issue their own advice which is different in many respects.
Mass emails fly about asking which rules to follow. Nobody seems to know. Yes, chaos alright.

Fortunately I have an employer with it's head screwed on, and they've now said that every day you're in the office, you MUST take an LFT. (It was only within the previous 72 hours before) Also, away from desks, masks are now mandatory.

Good. Keep safe.
I've just ordered some FFP2 masks, and I think I've persuaded Mrs A to ditch her cloth ones. Because of my beard I've been wearing a bandana mask.

I was Ay-Zedded twice with no ill after-effects. Yesterday afternoon I was Modern(a)ised and now I has a rather painful arm.

Pfizer hat trick here - slight pain in arm, lymph nodes in armpit and collarbone reacted. Passed after a few days.

I had two AZs, yesterday I had a Pfizer boost. Today I didn't wake up until 4.30pm and I have a splitting headache and a raging temperature.

I get my booster on Friday morning which I have deliberately timed so that, if I suffer any side-effects, I not have to bunk off the business and will be as right as ninepence for the football on Sunday. I had Astrazeneca for the first two but I'm not sure what my booster will be.
Frankly, I'm not sure that I even care, just so long as I get it.

Our university has made it blanket that anyone in indoor settings must wear a mask it’s good to see, but yeah easier to do when you have security staff.

Which is why Co-op have joined the growing list of supermarkets that are putting the signs up but not doing any enforcement. They're fed up with the abuse staff already have to face and don't want to pile covidiots on top. Though that leaves staff exposed to whichever variant is in vogue this week. Six of one an half a dozen of the other.

Certainly here in .uk the boosters are either Moderna or Pfizer - AIUI AZ is not offered. Of course, things might be different in .de...
@Oboogie - oddly, I had fatigue with the first two Pfizer jabs but not with the booster.

Does your Co-op still have screens up at the tills?

Yes, but they're more effective when the customers are wearing masks like the staff are.
Edit: bloody autocorrect
