So if he sacks her he is screwed and if he doesn't sack her he will forever be seen as weak. He will probably wimp out and try and get her to do a job swap with James Cleverly. Her diplomatic skills would play well with the Brexit brigade.
The utter absurdity of calling her ‘the Queen’. Village idiot more like, surrounded by mouldering turnips.

I would imagine that a dominant 'coloured' lady would tick the boxes of more than a few Tories.

Some perhaps, but I remain convinced that most are in it for the money, not the kicks.

I can see Natalie Rowe in that role.

But Sue Ellen is pushing into serious "special interest" territory.

Accusing the Metropolitan police of being too woke and leaning on the commissioner to crack down on this weekend’s Gaza marches is, for Braverman, just another salvo in that campaign to win the leadership of her party. She doesn’t care that in the process she tramples on the principle that, in a democracy, policing – and the entire criminal justice system – has to be operationally independent of government. Like Trump, she is happy to tear down any democratic guardrails that stand in her way.

But nor does she care whether she ignites a tinderbox. British Jews have been in a state of anxiety and fear since the brutal murders committed by Hamas in southern Israel on 7 October. Antisemitic incidents have surged by more than 500% compared with the same period last year, each day bringing word of more. In Manchester, the proprietor of a takeaway threw cups and plates at customers, shouting: “We do not serve Jews.” In Hertfordshire, a man barged past a group of girls walking home from their Jewish school, saying: “What is this, a Jewish walkway? Free Palestine, you cunts.” In a primary school, a Jewish boy was told by his classmate: “I support Palestine, I want to kill all the Jews.”

Islamophobic attacks have risen by a similar proportion, with red paint thrown at a mosque in west London three times in a fortnight, a pig’s head dumped at the site of a proposed mosque in a Lancashire market town and a headscarfed woman being told in the street that she doesn’t “belong here”.

Seems a long time ago she was the dimmest backbencher in town talking fantasy Brexit nonsense on Question Time but it wasn’t. I wonder now if she was that dim or just playing to morons.

I see the "football" related idiots who have come to London to supposedly protect the Cenotaph made their way to Chinatown just off Piccadilly and were chanting "You're not English anymore". Utterly appalling.

The two minutes silence at the Cenotaph was observed with no disruption.

Braverman's Boys (perhaps 1000) - 82 arrests
Palestine Peace March (perhaps 300,000) - 0 arrests

The Police put out some silly and offensive communications today,, but I think it was probably impossibe to block them off from the vicinity of the Cenotaph once they were all coming. The way they did it was probably the right operational decision.

But Braverman and Sunak are why we got here. Both of them ought to be gone.

Not a statement, apologies, but some very loose talk at a press conference, to say the least.

So at the end of Armistice Day 2023, we have had an estimated 300,000 peaceful protestors marching without incident in that London in support of an end to the slaughter on the Gaza Strip, and reportedly around 100 “counter protesters”, aka far-right thugs, bully boys and tattooed gammonish fuckwits, none of whom would even have been anywhere near London today had they not been inflamed and emboldened by the Home Secretary - the Home Secretary, for fuck’s sake, to go there to “defend the cenotaph”, arrested by police.

Vishnu on a velocipede, how the buggering fuck did we come to this ?

New rumour is, Braverman is pressuring Sunak to call a snap election if the Rwanda wheeze is deemed unlawful next week, on the basis of a manifesto of ‘taking back control from unelected elites’.

Fucking bring it.

A couple of weeks ago the Home Office or Suella were briefing that the Rwanda scheme would be deemed lawful. I'm now starting to think that Suella is now aware that she is going to lose in court which is probably why she has been busily stealing the headlines for the last week.

I take it the resignation won’t be for taking responsibility for a failed policy? But some Trumpian protest against lefty judges.
Suella Braverman is considering resigning on Wednesday if the Supreme Court deems the Rwanda policy unlawful so she can escape the backlash
