Braverman has called the Palestine marches “hate marches”. Utterly inflammatory. Not fit for her job at all.

Or absolutely suitable from her fanbase's point of view.
Like Theo in Die Hard, she wasn't brought along for her charming personality.

Well indeed. Though her base isn't the same thing as a winning coalition for the Prime Minister. He's going to get to look very weak again when he gets asked about whether he backs her.

Keep her on, and stay in office, go out at the GE with a little dignity. Push her and letters start getting sent to Brady.
And she might just be batshit enough to draw together all the batshits and have a fighting chance. Or just abolish elections. Or drop the bomb.

Total coincidence that Braverman mouths off with a blatantly inflammatory statement, and yesterday and today are big heat days for Johnson and Sunak from the Covid inquiry, of course…

What's the saying: "Every tory accusation is a confession".

‘Labour is full of terrorist supporters,’ is Braverman’s motivation.

I have long wondered how Braverman, all performative cruelty and total lack of empathy, can claim to be a Buddhist of the Triratna order where, after all, one commits be to being pro-actively kind and generous and self-awareness is step one.
Well, it seems she may not be a Buddhist at all. The London Buddhist Centre has busted her claims.
The London Buddhist Centre wishes to clarify that Ms Braverman is neither a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order nor has she attended the Centre in recent times.
The Trustees of the London Buddhist Centre would like to clarify the nature of the relationship between the Home Secretary Ms Suella Braverman, the Triratna Buddhist Order and the London Buddhist Centre following inaccurate claims in recent Observer and Guardian articles on the 14th May and the Wikipedia page about Ms Braverman.
Ms Braverman is not an ordained Buddhist or member of the Triratna Buddhist Order. Being a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order requires an individual to undergo several years of extensive training, and once ordained there are a range of processes to ensure ongoing ethical development and accountability. To become a member of the London Buddhist Centre, a registered charity, an individual has first to be ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order.
Her karma must look like a cockroach.

She'd be better suited to the Gerald Ratna order.

Braverman is as much a Buddhist as Rees-Mogg is a Christian. If it can be used to buy them breathing space around abhorrent behaviour, they’re as devout as the pope. If a member or official from their religion ever dares point out their actions veer well away from the moral codes of said religion, then of course they should stick to sermons and keep out of politics

She's going the way of a social media entrepreneur.
Upping the ante to remain relevant through shock value.
She doesn't appear to realise she is an elected MP and an appointed minister.
It's not within the job spec' to go fishing for likes.

Fair play to the Tory MP for Gloucester here.
Gloucester's demographics (85% white, though higher for voting age) might put it in a sort of Braverman sweet spot- visible ethnic minorities, but not that big and electoral factor. It's welcome that the Tory MP, who'll likely lose his seat next time, has told her to fuck off.

I wonder if she's by now basically Home Sec in name only? Sit in the corner and try not to chew the crayons?
I get that if Sunak fires her, he'll face a backbench rebellion, and she won't ever resign. But I wonder if with these issues - marches and tents - she's gone full fash, and even by Tory standards, too far?

Braverman wants to send in Paras to shoot Muslims and lefties.
If she’s making an impact, the Tories will lose some polling points including bolstering Reform. Swellin wins the leadership and opens the door to Farage et al to consolidate it. The Trumpification of the Conservative Party would be complete.

I started to read it as a confused attempt to associate the catholic community with Hamas; I.e. catholics = antisemitism = IRA = terrorists = Hamas

I know one should never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity, but in this case I think she's done both.
I think she (or whichever SpAd has her social media duty) genuinely believes the summer marches are pro-Independence (and pro-IRA, overlooking the many many republicans who have nothing to do with IRA/SF), or that enough of her fan club will think bloody Irish, all the same.
