Mark Lemar witnessed similar getting off a coach with some celebs. Shane Richie was mobbed while no one recognised Gary Oldman.

I see that Simon McCoy is Tweeting his support for Max Verstappen in today's F1 decider.

Very patriotic. I wonder if there is something about Lewis Hamilton that he doesn't like?

When I was a kid I used to read the Times. My parents got it. I noticed that in their birthdays column, there was a distinction between broadcaster and presenter. David Attenborough was a broadcaster, Noel Edmonds was a mere presenter.

Radio DJs were upgraded to presenters due to any old arm waving twat calling themselves a DJ.

It's nice they're having cartoons now, though.

I'll just leave this here

Fledgling news and opinion channel GB News suffered from a major technical fault on Sunday morning. Hardly anyone noticed until a video of the fault was uploaded by the broadcaster.

Reminds me of the running gag on Wogan's breakfast show for years regarding John Marsh (of Janet and John infamy) - John is not a journalist, he's a newsreader.

Speaking of radio, I see GBeebies Radio is on it's way in the new year. Considering Talk Radio is already a thing, is there the market for two complete lunatic fuckwit radio stations? And why do I worry about Dacre sitting there thinking "This gives me an idea...."

Well, the Mail tried TV in the mid-90s and it went nowhere. One of my colleagues worked for it.

Thing is... radio is cheap. These days, all you need to do is to buy a slot on a DAB multiplex and off you go. Someone else has done all the hard work where transmitters are concerned.

Looking at the broadcaster who regularly appear on GB News it is probably fair to say that most of them have good faces for radio.

The existing formats are suitable for simultaneous radio broadcast. Didn’t FiveLive and BBC1 do that with Victoria Derbyshire Live?

Even the odious Dan Wooton can improve Farage’s viewing figures by over 15%.

Farage was only on 3 times that week, and gets 2 of those in the top 15, so he's a relative star of the network.

Then again that's like saying Extras is a relative star of the England batting line up at the moment. Can GB News sign up Joe Root?
