Boris dutifully stuck to his appointed job in the communal kitchen. There — as Rachel describes it in her diary — he “showed inner steel,” scrubbing pots and pans and sweating it out in the heat of the kitchen, meal after meal.
6 weeks. He did that "meal after meal" for 6 weeks.

Civilised camping with much weed and a power of shagging. That was basically the average 1980s kibbutz sales pitch, if I remember correctly.

Not sure she gets the ethos of a kibbutz
‘He was so socially low on the pecking order,’ recalls Rachel Johnson.

Not so much Gal Gadot as Maureen Lipman.

That was pretty much how my mate Andy described his experience of kibbutz life in the early 80s.

Wonder if the Mail has “let him go”

I wonder which would be the least surprising - the Mail getting rid or GBeebies taking him on, with a pay rise to match. Much as I loathe him, I can't but admire his ability to fall in the cut and come out with a mac on.

Surely, KGBbebies has a licence requirement to truth and accuracy. This is another flagrant breach in the making.

Unvarnished views means the first thing that comes into his head. This is how he made his living 25 years ago, the John Cleese of political ‘comedy.’
This station will continue to have a niche audience seeking an echo chamber but the window has closed for the government to deregulate news broadcasting restrictions as Reagan did in the US. Ofcom maybe a pussycat now but it might not be in the future.
In a video posted on the GB News account on X, formerly Twitter, Johnson said he was going to be sharing his “unvarnished views” on the TV channel.

I’m sure Sunak will be delighted Johnson will be on at least once a week telling everyone how shit he (Sunak) is, and how great he (Johnson) is, and how much better he would be in the role.

Apparently he’s going to focus his wisdom on foreign affairs. Many forget that before Bozo was the worst PM of all time, he was worst foreign secretary ever.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was at the Labour annual conference this year, with her family.
She has definitely not forgotten.

Yes, she did. But can you really blame her when Truss was the person who finally got her home?

Seems Johnson thought that Covid wasn't worth disrupting the economy for:
Keith asks Reynolds if Johnson ever said that Covid was not a big deal, that it would be like swine flu, and that the biggest danger was talking the economy into a slump.
(Many accounts, including from people like Dominic Cummings, say this is exactly what Johnson thought at this point.)
Reynolds says he cannot remember that. But he does think Johnson thought that “if we reacted in certain ways, we could generate a sense of panic and concern that could be counterproductive”.

My word, but Martin Reynolds is an odious little worm, isn't he?
