There was a UK dimension and an England dimension to the Westminster response because of the dual status of Westminster. So an argument can certainly be made for anothe veryr senior minister to attend wearing an England hat (maybe a bobbly). Provided the devolved government heads have proper input to the UK PM, that's fine, I think.

But to refuse it because it might make the first ministers look too important is pathetic.

Johnson's article in the Mail starts with the line 'Having worked on a kibbutz...' Does anybody believe the serial liar actually did any work on the kibbutz?
