Lots of that will be age related, I think. Hardly anybody got degrees among Johnson's core demographic.

The most vociferous Johnson fan I know is in his late 40s, is a graduate of Durham university, and loudly sneers about anywhere not predating it.
He is, unsurprisingly, a bit of a cunt.

So far I've only met one Durham graduate, a venture capitalist of the belief that left-wing politics are inherently incapable of sound economic sense.
Unfortunately he got off the train before I could quiz him on the 2008 global financial crisis...
