Late last week, Mail editor Ted Verity came into possession of a bombshell photo showing Boris Johnson, his mother [who died in September 2021], his sister and little baby Wilf out in the open air at No.10. The Mail wrote up a big front page story about how the photo was PROOF that Boris had done no wrong and that the police are conducting a baseless witch hunt against him.
Even if we disregard the lack of social distancing, how on earth could anyone claim that such a picture 'proved' Johnson did no wrong? Are we supposed to believe that because they were photographed in the garden that is 'proof' they never went indoors?
Is that really it?
Surely even a Mailtard would see the flaw in that: a photo of you in one location cannot prove that you were never in another place. You can't prove a negative.
The paper ran “Beergate” for 13 straight days on its front page.

Bozo's in Uxbridge, things must be bad. He's leading with his strong suit- closing police stations.

With all of the revelations about the Met I would have thought the good people of Uxbridge would be delighted to have that nest of vipers removed from their midst.

I know it's the work of a few seconds for him to do something like this, but James O'Brien's first sentence sums up Johnson's entire career.

7 years ago yesterday. France didn't sign the "Vienna Treaty", as it isn't called.

Margaret Ferrier has been suspended from the commons, and so a recall can be triggered.

This was being looked at as a test to see if the Tories would vote against it to pre-emptively protect Johnson’s blubbery arse. So this makes for interesting precedent.

Message of "go and fucking dangle".

So, they've entered the fragging the officers phase?

He genuinely cared about levelling up, though not so much as to do a budget for it or tell his constituents they needed to fork out for Blaenau Gwent.

It's another what might have been, same as all his big construction projects.

In truth, it was another pork barrel from the pork haystack. Get councils to jump through hoops for the privilege of giving a few million to a connected contractor.

Johnson's never been officer material.

Be interesting to see whether his narrative or Truss win out, his would at least have some acknowledgment of areas that needed injection.

Truss was just give rich people money it will trickle down.

I think suggesting that any sort of ‘trickle down’ effect to benefit the less well off was a conscious aim might be being more generous to her* than she deserves.
