As my wife observed on the train this evening, why do non-mask wearers tend to sit near us sheeple, when if they were so sure of themselves surely they'd seek out another free spirit to share their airspace?
I'm reminded of an article that described Pussy Riot as "Manic Pixie Dream Dissidents".
Within their own country, they can promote their causes and have complicated, three-dimensional personalities and personas.
In other countries - especially those further away, or which don't share a language - people can attach any cause or idea they see fit.

French lawmaker Jose Evrard, whose vaccine-sceptic far-right party had opposed government measures to control the spread of Covid-19, has died after contracting the coronavirus, the president of the parliament said on Friday.It was unclear whether Evrard, who was 76, had refused to be vaccinated himself.

I am no fan of Boris Johnson.
I think Boris Johnson was a fool to put himself in a position where he might be judged to break the very rules he was imposing on the nation. And not just Boris, they were all doing it. All the parties, in all parts of the country. If you are setting rules like this, appearing on TV to tell everybody how afraid they should be, preventing people attending school, funerals, weddings, even work, you should be very very careful not to be a hypocrite
There is a big question though, that nobody seems to be asking.
WHY WEREN'T THEY SCARED?
These are the people with the MOST inside information on the true state of affairs. The people on TV, and Radio and in the newspapers saying how terrible this pandemic is and how we all might be about to die. They have been leading the fear from Day One and most have not let up for even a second.
SO WHY WEREN'T THEY SCARED?
They have spent millions, billions even, on a complex web of propaganda and fear, blasted at us all 24/7. This variant, that variant, this outbreak, that terrifying outcome.
SO WHY WEREN'T THEY SCARED?
The old saying is "actions speak louder than words." They've said a lot of words. But their ACTIONS speak louder. Their actions are not the actions of people terrified of a deadly virus. Their actions are not the actions of people facing a catastrophic pandemic. People in that sort of crisis don't go and hobnob at dinner parties, rub shoulders with each other, travel across the country to shag their mistress, whip off their "vital" masks the minute the cameras aren't on them.
These people had access to more information than you or I. They had all the intel. They had the full gamut of available research and knowledge. And as you can PLAINLY SEE..... they were not scared.
That tells me everything I need to know. Others will decide for themselves.

Yes, there was a special report about their training camp on Channel 4 News this evening. It's Q Anon without guns. They think Boris Johnson's a Communist. I kept expecting Piers Corbyn and his racist mate to pop up, but sadly no. I expect they were busy stealing things from hospitals.
