Mad.

What offence would this be?! The offence of temporarily taking down part of an original design to clean it?

This is what they have to go with after the Islamist mob didn't destroy the Cenotaph. Or indeed walk past it at all.

They're also going with some people chanted in a station where there were people selling poppies. Now if the people harrassed the poppy sellers, then fine. But haven't seen evidence of that yet.

could it be that there's an event planned there in about a week, and they're preparing it?

Twitter really is a shithole where decency goes to die.

There’s now a conspiracy theory doing the rounds that the Met are lying about the flag removal. Imagine being that thick, me neither.

So says a snidey antisemite. Immigration from Muslim countries has increased rapidly since since 2016. Has Nigel any idea why?

He's quite welcome to fuck off - don't let the airport departure gates hit you on your arse on the way out, you beer-soaked, fag-stained cunt.

‘Starmer step down,’ demands a Burnley councillor. Cllr Anwar is clearly a very important man.

Burnley is a small borough (only 94.271 residents), 253rd by population.

252nd is the local government powerhouse that is Tewkesbury. I wonder if somebody could usefully merge these places with somewhere.

The nationalist loons have discovered a new sinister international cabal.

Britain is about to surrender its tax sovereignty
New plans for a minimum global rate for big firms will allow foreign nations to pilfer UK and US profits

She's been on about this for a while, but seems like she's got some new Trumper mates. Why are US taxes a concern for her anyway?

And the Jewish Chronicle actually published that?

And the ones that ran the ovens were actually bakers?

Murray is on a mission to reform the Nazis:

Makes me think of this classic Mitchell and Webb sketch:

There is an element of truth to it.
In the early days of Special Operations the executioners (the Sonderkommando) were pretty much up for it, frequently psychopaths or Nazi fanatics, race war types. As the war went on more 'ordinary' soldiers were drafted in, and these did suffer from morale problems, evidenced by Himmler making speeches to them on several occasions telling them that they were carrying out a duty they found unpleasant for the sake of the Reich and to stick at it. Some objected on conscientious grounds (see Richard Böck who refused to work at Auschwitz and was sent back to military duties). There is no evidence - as shown at Nuremberg - that soldiers were forced or coerced, though, and the case of Böck shows that they could opt out - though of course few did.

I think Murray goes way beyond the evidence, but it's slightly more nuanced than most think.
